The Invisible Lines
Tamah265 Sep 2020
They drew invisible lines
Who "they" are I don't know
The lines are said to control society
You must always be within your "territory"
When you cross your line, you cross your comfort zone
People will treat you the way they like because you are not home
And when you are home you treat people the way you like
You even *** where no one tatted
The lines keep being drawn
The world is now a canvas of unholy art
We keep passing the paint brush
We all want to draw a line
Well at least some more than others
Giving birth to this thing called segregation
Introducing a new ism every day
Activists with their hands held high are created
Ready to defend those who "cross" the lines
We now tip toe in "our" world
We fight pointless battles
Winner gets guilt
Our heads carrying zeta bytes of data
All of it loaded with information on how to "live"
But was there even a line?
