Beyond Freezing Point
Sleepinghermit Mar 2019
Crystal reflection on frozen ice
A slow death of despair it shows
Temperature of patience dropping slowly
Cooler, colder enduring beyond freezing point
Winter is where the body feels the heat of the soul
Tundras turning slowly into pasture land
Clutches of despair slowly breaking apart
It's time to march towards the blazing sun
Underneath the sorrow of the moonlight
A heavenly scream from the tortured soul
Sun will come, moonlight is not everlasting
The other side of the coin will bring us fortune
Lady luck will smile upon us once more
Keep breathing as long as your lungs seek breath
Keep moving as long as the legs are mobile
Keep holding as long as the hands possess grip
Never surrender even doom knocks the doors
For the sun shall shine upon you once again

March of Victory
Sleepinghermit Mar 2019
Dawn arrives with a message of blood
After the thunderstorms, mimicking the drums
No time left to gain one's courage
Pure fear reigns within this patch of land
Battlefield, where shields and swords clash
Men of brave hearts test their mettle
Equipped with their cunning to survive
Opposite flags of opposing insignias raised
Brave warriors and knights march into war
Peace shall be attained with spill of blood
For all men with their principles to fight for
The horns sound! Serenading the grim reaper
To arms! Charge towards victory!

Solider
Sleepinghermit Mar 2019
Drawing final breath, might be the last stand
Hero whose funeral won't be grand
Afternoon sun bathes the scenery in red
As the solider shall rest soon in death bed

Protecting loved ones, serving under one's flag
War fought not for historians to brag
Though they take lives without fear
Emotions are just set aside preventing horrors to appear

Impossible it may dream to aspire for true peace
But a message relayed in this poetic piece
Let a life be lost for a better cause
Hope for wars to have a complete pause

MY OBSESSION
Sleepinghermit Mar 2019
I own you yet still I want more
To know you, love you yet still to crave
I love everything that you live for
Still an insatiable hunger continues to starve
Your kisses, hugs and the caress of your skin
Every fiber of your being is my obsession
A plot twist that has an never ending spin
Love, obsess, repeat stuck in a dream-made dimension
My lover, I know I am in the wrong
Love should remain pure not to point of sin
Yet I held for the feeling so long
Don't know where it did even begin
I may never grasp these emotions or why
No one will understand me neither will I

PURPLE WINE(A SONNET)
Sleepinghermit Mar 2019
Why do good things always come to an end?
I wish temporary lasts a lifetime
Our broken pieces unable to mend
Mountain impossible for us to climb
Drinking slowly this glass of purple wine
Each sip builds a road towards delusion
If I had you everything will be fine
Alas! All there was the worst conclusion
Seeking reality we don't part ways
Found fantasy beyond limited reach
Believed in a lie you will stay always
Your truth is all but an invented speech
Thus my companion inside a wine glass
Hoping struggle of mine soon come to pass
