Distractions
they always win
their overwhelming odds,
quick jab,
and a strong chin,
Distractions
have you figured out
before the battle even begins

Interesting how some cats
have pent-up stress
they need to scratch, cry,
run out of their system
Do felines chase ghosts,
or scamper away from them?
Other cats portray an all knowing spiritual guru
stoic to all life's dilemmas
learn from those cats
they already see you as an acolyte

There is only love
Hate will only bring you down
With a weight that pins the soul to the ground
Strains the muscles of the spirit
To the point of seemingly no recovery
You must plead to submit
To regain your life’s energy
Or else
Slither down a road of resentment that leads to no redemption
Causing you to unconsciously hate yourself
Searching for a path of exemption?
There is only love
