My Friend
Shan Venae May 2018
I do not fear Death.
Fore  he is a necessity.
A pathway through the gates
Of eternal immortality.

He gets a bad name.
Though he plays a fair game,
Doused in pain,
He is truly tame.

Many wish to die,
Some of whom try,
But in the end they lie,
Breakdown and cry.

Death is a necessity,
A gateway to eternity.

He is the Messiah,
The answer to our self fire.
A temptation for the survivors.
A release for the liars.

Those of us who say ,"I'm okay".
Though we drown in self hate.
We are okay till we take the bait
And seal our fate.

As our world burns
Oh how we yearn
For the blissful breath
Of the kiss of Death.

Death is our friend
Our only true one in the end,
And through the fire and brimstone,
We shall never be alone.

He stands by our side
While we live our lives
Through already dead eyes
As our world slowly dies.

Swiftly he will take us
Without much fuss
We place our trust
That he will be just.

There is only one true God
His name is Death
He is inevitable
So do not fret

When it is your time
You will go
So do not slow
Your pace

Some still wish for a
Taste of relief.
From this belief
We hope for self peace

Some will end their life
By means of the knife
But one thing is certain
As we face our final curtain.

Death is a necessity,
The pathway to immortality.
Death is our friend
And he will be with us in
The End.
