You Little Theif
You little thief, you can’t go
A whole week without stealing.
Where is my hairbrush? It’s gone.
Do you have it? Yes you do.
Anytime something is gone,
I can always go to you,
I know to suspect your guilt,
Because you’re a little thief.

Where are my earbuds? They’re gone.
They're missing because of you.
I can’t find my new sweater!
Oh wait, it’s the little thief;
You stole all my possessions,
And now I can’t find my stuff,
Because I know you took it.
You’re an avid little thief.

Rain Rhyme
Rain, Rain, fills the sky,
And makes everything new,
The green grass spry,
The Earth filled with dew.
Flower buds close up,
The leaves grow greater green,
All the world blows up
This beautiful scene.

Air smells of wet earth,
The whole world hides away:
Humans by the hearth,
The cattle in the hay,
Rabbits burrow down
Into their hide-aways,
To the trees so brown,
The birds find their way.

Just as the storm stops
and the winds quits blowing,
Up in the tree tops
The leaves unfurl and grow,
Thankful for the rain,
They continue to grow,
Grateful for the rain,
'Til it turns to snow.

Stormy Sonnet
The clouds rolled in with the fast-moving wind,
The bright lightning flashed off in the distance,
The great storm was just around the bend.
The loud, growling wind whistled through the fence,
And the night grew longer by the second.
As the great and powerful storm rolled in,
All the farm animals ran past the pond
To the bottom in a herd of vast kin.
The rain pounded against the white tin roof,
And no one know what the storm had in store.
The calm farmer's family had no clue
The storm would be so strong and powerful.
Crack! Went the pillar as the old barn fell
Just before the animals ran in it.
