Criticize
It's an alright guise
It helped me win a prize
Pay no attention to my size
Just ask if I am wise

So quick of you to advise
Before I can apprise
You stand to watch me rise
After I have been abscised

Perhaps you will baptize
And hope to capsize
All that I chastise
And all that I cognize

This poem I comprised
Of all that you demised
All that you despised
And all that you devised

Why do you always demonize
Just to get a word in edgewise
If you truly wish to excise me
Why not just Graecize me

I Watch the moon rise
I reprise and revise
I get streetwise
And I stylize
I like rhymes!

Foot in Mouth
When curves and slurs
get in your way
Answers come too slowly

There's not enough time
or ever enough rhyme
to make it go over smoothly

The jokes and the coax
are taking their positions
You have no rights to transition

If you question the change
Or talk of the exchange
You're due for the ultimate inquisition

For your determination
grants you no favor
When you're put on the spot

And you better come up
with an answer
whether you have one or not

Changes
It's hard to die and be reborn
To leave the past behind
with all of it's scorn
It's as if your innermost being
is being broken and torn
From the place where you lived
for so very long
Believing that life could
never go so wrong
Myself, as a child,
let me hold you
while you cry
Let the visions begin
Let the memories die
You must live on, you must
Even while everything you hold
turns to dust
The tears wet your lips
and your smile begins to rust
You must push forward, you must
Even in your fear
you will once again
learn to trust
Oh dear heart don't be so blue
Look away from the old
and into the new
There is so much more
to come of You
One thing we can be certain of in this life is change.

Suzanna
Joy pulsating through me into you
Bringing you into the whole
My first glimpse of you
More precious than told

Young and yearning
I prepared my heart for you
You chose me, your my angel
I assented this miracle true

This moment, this coming
Of life's first undefiled supervene
My joy taken in seconds
By shocking cries of death

Your breath was gone
I looked to see you, I reached to hold you
You were with the doctors
You were okay, I knew

Now I grieve, I ponder
This is the beginning of our lives
I hold you in my arms
And love the hurt that's in your eyes

My angel, Suzanna
Give your struggles to me
I would rather hear the words you speak
Than forever listen to the sea

I would fly into the sky
And capture the sun
I would give myself to the fire
If only your legs could run

Love Again
Time is lost, never gained
Love is given, never wanes
Fire burns it's hungry flames,
Wind turns, tosses, throws and go's
You don't see it, and on it blows.
These elements you live in that you can sometimes see.
These truths that affect the world, you and me.
When did we stop listening?...

Water wash us clean; let us start over again.
Life is a gift, always taken
If never given, then you're not living.
It's time to love again

Five
Once I saw my life as an ocean,
Waves beating me
Open shores to walk upon
and fear of underneath

Twice I saw my life as a jungle
ready to be explored
Complexity surrounds me
Extremes so amazingly vast

Three times I saw my life as a mountain
climbing further upon my path
Higher to the top of which existence?
Spiritual physical clash

Four times I saw my life as the sky
all of it's beautiful colors
Sunshine so bright it brings rainbows
Wind blows so hard I go fast

Five times I see four times move through me
Direction I look for at last
And now I can finally accept
My future my present and past
This one is very old but I thought I would share it... Nature has always brought my mind to clarity and meaning. No wonder we call her Mother. She teaches so much.

Angel's Prayer
Hopeless lies deep
in the heart of loved enemies
I cry
My sorrow so unnoticed
for hurt chaotic souls

With tender eyes
and lips that heal
I pour open hands into dying life
well fixed into stone

I long for
Friends of compassion
Real and thoughtful hearts
but my depth is considered annoyance
My skies to broad
for understanding

My world so corrupt
I want to save spirits and not
become middle human

I desire what is good
to be known, unheard
And slowly sinking down
muck stains my tears

So I say
where does truth slumber?
Why are we weak
to know strength?
God help this empty place
To be full of your love
Your love can save
hopeless I'm sure

My Heart is a Rose
My Heart is a Rose
Delicately it grows, as flowers do;
I wish it were tough as nails.
Not so, although,
it's tough like a root,
That gets stronger the longer it grows
It creeps and sneaks through the dirt,
The ugly dirt.
It searches the depths for some food.
It knows what grows above,
and with love
It stays hidden, unburdened,
By the world that would judge.
It's beauty,
could never compare,
However without it there,
Everyone knows,
nothing can grow,
Without love.
Is it a sin to see my beauty within?
Some vain train of thought,
What I've never been told.
Knowing all that I'm not,
My beauty, behold, seeps through
And then seemingly out of the blue,
A flower bursts through.
It blooms, it grows, it's beauty, it knows.
And as it fades and gets ready to die,
It has no care for never meeting your eye,
to behold I.
And my ***** roots down below.

Soldier's Symphony
Broken heart
Your world's been torn apart
and everything that could've been
Well it's blowing in the wind

There's anger deep inside
but what can you do
Shout and cry
Until the truth breaks through

And don't give up
Keep holding on
To the hope you find
It's gonna make you strong

Never let the way this world is
Take you down

Live for the depth
That your sorrow brings
Live for the things
That can't be seen

Fight with your heart
Fight with your mind
Leave all your fears
and your worries  behind

And don't give up
Keep holding on
To the hope you find
It's gonna make you strong

Never let the way this world is
Take you down

On the other side of this dark place
There's a reason why
There's a better place for us
With no more wars we have to fight

And there the light will show
The love we suffered for
For the one who came
To save our souls
For the brother we have
Let the truth be told

We won't give up
We'll keep holding on
To the hope we find
It's gonna make us strong

We'll never let the way this world is
Tear us down
We'll stand our ground
