I can see you,
When the aurora let the dews shine,
Dispenses the elegance and charm divine,
And also while I go for a holy shrine,
And can see you in my bottle of wine..

I can hear you,
While careless wind blows, frantic and free,
And amidst the harmonical murmurs of the tree,
And those agile waves of the sea,
Whispers in my ear the voice of thee.

I meet with you,
When traumatized, agonized I sob lonely,
And condemning the play of my ruthless fate,
Frustrated, I puff a cigar and release the smoke,
Which always conspires to take your portrait.

I can smell you,
When the drops of rain wet the ground,
And lingers your essence, distinct and profound,
And in gardern delicate flowers of bright hue,
Forgets their smell & casts the perfume of you.

I can have your touch,
While the mild & charming evening breeze,
Touches my skin and makes me seized,
Or at dawn while aurora touchs my face,
Medicates my scars and like you embrace.

You left me alone, and make my world sober,
Didn't thought of me, and returned never,
But when I intend a new life to find,
This intriguing nature always makes me remind,
About you..

A Morning Without You
Rima Sahamandal Aug 2018
Amidst the so called bliss of sun,

Why does my wound still burn?

In the cascade of heavy rain,

Why I cling to wash my pain?

Why amidst the play of wind,

Forever I encounter myself ruined?

How the upheaval interplay of the storm,

Astoundingly my doleful melody forms?

Whensoever I touch the snow

I wonder will you ever know?

That you forever made me to wait,

Ceaselessly I worshipped you to met,

With all my empty hands,

Consciously ignorant of menace of quicksand.

Gladly espoused a life futile,

Only to have your glimpse for a while.

But slowly my sun got set,

I’m welcomed by my mocking fate…

I'as seeking heaven in your eye,

Where the sea embraces the sky,

Dreamt to take you in my arm,

To feel your breath warm,

To have your delicious lips to taste,

And slowly to be perished in grave to rest...

Alas! You sham and Punic dream,

What can you gift but tears stream?

Crooked world is calling, damnation is due,

Time to bid you, “adieu adieu!”

Let me wake up,

And bury the dreams of glee,

Let me receive you cursed Sun,

With a cup of coffee.

When Mind whispers, “Elope from the world you abhor”

Then Life curses, “Nay! Strive to live once more”

That day when I had your glance,
Heart skipped a beat and veins commenced to dance,
love paved a way from eye to heart,
A tantalizing story which was about to start.

I dreamt to be engrossed in your smell,
And to remain enchanted in your spell
But careless love cheated so well,
Gave all dreams marvellous farewell.

She built a castle in your heart,
Played in it and made it dirt,
Now it became a barren land,
I decorated it with flowers,
Yet left with sand.

You took her in arms and hold her face,
Touched her with intense passionate grace,
She rendered grey clouds in your blue sky,
And now I crave for that love in your eyes.

You held my hand and went to the shore,
And unveil all wound which long you store,
I embraced you tight to convey,"you are mine"
But heart silently asked,"can I ever be yours?"

Tormented, agonized, I cried lonely,
And candle beside casts light feeble,
Which doesn't dispel the darkness,
Instead it makes my darkness visible.
The poem is about the frustration to fall in love with a person whose heart had been broken by someone else before..the poem is about love someone unconditionally even after knowing the fact perhaps that person won't be able to love in same way

Let Me Fly
Rima Sahamandal May 2018
Let me fly
Higher than the clouds,
Let me rely
On those old fairy tales,
When this world
Veils mirth with shroud,
Where all bonds
Shatters and fails..
Where all seems vague
By mist and pervasive dark,
Uncountable wounds
Provide unblurred marks,
Let me then
Deliberately stupefy myself,
By flying with that
Fanciful Skylark..

— The End —
