At long last your memories are gone from my heart
Nothing reminds me of what we did in our past
Each memory like a splinter in my arm was buried
Each day from them I tried and scurried
Hiding behind books, trying to make memories new
But something always reminded me of you
Those words spoken, no longer ring in my head
The ones unspoken are forever left unsaid
We once stood in the sand under the stars bright
We are nothing anymore, nothing more than strangers in the night

Standing in the center of the city, a small coin clutched in his hands
He looked around curiously, gawking at the people at the stands
Buying fruits and silks precious, carrying bags of wares
He twirled the coin in his hands, looking around in despair
Again he looked at the well he stood at, at a little sign which hung
“Wishing well” it read in red print, was it worth everything he had
He looked around and raised his hand, ready to toss the coin in
Closed his eyes, made a wish and flicked the coin in
A puff of smoke and there stood with him, what he wished for
The one who loved him all his life, he finally has his mother.
