CARE HOME
Kishore Shanbhag May 2020
This is my home, filled with love and care,
Porridge, sponge bath and they shampoo my hair,
I have rules to follow, when I can be seen,
Four walls tell me, I should have structure to my routine.

It is my body that needs caring, my mind is set free,
My sight isn’t clear, there is always sun for me to see.
Am a bit hard of hearing, but listen Robin chirping, not shy,
Oh, a butterfly I can’t chase, I forget, I could never fly.

I think world is my home, there will be no walls,
when my thoughts are set free, there will be no falls.
Grateful I lived in this body all my life,
gracefully let me make my way back,
Like dvaita and dualism dictate for end of any creature,
return my mind to mystery and body to the nature.

CRYPTIC 19
Kishore Shanbhag May 2020
Triumph vision, on the corona
There was a lot of woo ha n na
I had a cup of Chi, na I thought
How can we? Drag-on like corona

But then again, I think
How silent it came on my ward,
Din't go to be!, jingling and the rest
Is all the woo ha n na conspiracy real

I see, Gin pinged in a glass
like a potent invisible shot
Never fired? But cheering.
