Seasons come and seasons fade
Years whir by like a former shade
Going faster while becoming slow

Memories burn as i'm growing old
And did I mention the thing I told?
I can't recall.

I can't remember
The embers burning them away
Left no flash or wicked flame

Like seasons come and seasons fade
Will it burn my life away?
Or will I succumb to the cold?

Fly
On wings of ash they fly
Until the sun no longer lights the sky
On and on and past the moon
Out in dark they are marooned
A sea of black they sail
Looking back, seeming frail
A tiny unassuming sphere
Past their grudges and their fears
Looking back, seeming small
A dot that used to be their all
Erased by all-consuming night
Past our mother star's light
Forever adrift on endless shores
Alone in space, reliving our horrors
Our dreams, on wings of ash they fly
Towards a sun to again light our skies

She
She sang a song
of ice and snow
and dreamed of oceans
swaying slow
She swam through clouds
and flew near stars
Fell so proud
and dove so far

She was a sad harmony
A song she unsung
A silence unheard
A deed undone

She hummed a tune
of fish and birds
and bore with devotion
The beasts she herds
She swam through life
and flew from death
Fell from strife
and dove bereft

She was a sweet melody
A smile she unsmiled
A violence in violet
My hope she defiled

She sang a song
that twists the mind
and played my emotions
Leaving me blind
I swam near folly
and flew through sin
I fell in love
and dove right in

Without a Rhyme or Reason right
I step into a Poet's Light
In shapes of Dark and darkness through
Through all the vibrant color hues
A sense, the start of new adventure
In search for Gods to test new ventures
A fresh day roused to the sight of me
And You have set me truly Free

With a Rhyme and season bright
I step into a Poet's Light
Mistakes have brought my eyes come true
True lies have made me pay my dues
Commence, to Life I now surrender
In search to dream a Poet's splendor
A fresh way roused to the Light of me
And You alone have set me Free

You entered my life
Like a shade on a moonless night
And just as quickly
You went away

You took away my sight
With promises of bliss
And for a while
You were right
I'd give it all again
for another kiss

But you exited my life
Like a shade on a moonless night
So dark and free
Fleed the light of day

You burned away my light
With the fire you began
And for a while
It felt right
I'd do it all again
for another chance

You changed my life
Like a shade on a moonless night
Because now I can see
And now I stay away

Wandering around
Nightmares lurking in the distance

Oh, the dreams I have found
Are they real
Or just some other form
of existence?

Do I just want to be
Or do I want to see
What I can become?

Meandering away
Shadows coming closer

Oh, will I see the day
If it's real
Or just some other form
Of closure?

Do I just want to dream
Or let out a hollow scream
At what I want to become?

And are these dreams even mine?

The dreams of tomorrow
Now sound so hollow
And the whispers of today
Just keep drifting away
As the pictures of the past
Keep flashing by so fast
My state of mind keeps losing
To a state of my own choosing
Numb I become
I become numb.
