Cherished Moments
"Amidst the strife, we search for meaning's light
A fragile existence, a delicate sight
One moment's joy, the next, sorrow's might

We toil and strive, we struggle and strive,
Yet fate can ****** it all, in a moment's drive.

But still we hope, we dream, we persevere,
For in the end, it's not the years we hold dear.
It's the love we share, the memories we make,
The moments we cherish, for our own sake."
"You self don try, no need to explain
Your effort dey shine like torchlight for night
With every step you take, you dey make your way
And make am for people, every single day

Your dedication be like lighthouse for night
De guide others through darkness, make dem see light
You self don try, and dat one be fact
Just dey push  forward, no need to look back

Your progress dey proud, your spirit dey bright
You self dey try, and everything go dey alright!"

Fruitless Efforts
"Seeds of hope, planted with care
Nourished with dreams, and tender air
But still they wither, and fade away
Fruitless efforts, at the end of the day

The soil of struggle, the sun of strife
Could not awaken, the dormant life
The roots of disappointment, ran deep and wide
And the harvest of hope, withered and died

Yet still we toil, in the barren land
Searching for answers, with a weary hand
For in the act of trying, we find our strength
Even in fruitless efforts, a glimmer of length"

My Academic Sojourn
"A journey of inquiry and discovery, a path unwound
Through halls of learning, where minds are found
From the of birth although one’s life
A quest for knowledge, where wisdom beams

Late night study sessions, fueled by carryovers fright
Early morning lectures, where insights take flight
Seminar rooms abuzz, with ideas in the air
A melting *** of minds, where perspectives share

The thrill of research, a treasure to unearth
A thesis takes shape, a story to give birth
The guidance of mentors, a helping hand
A support system, that understands

Through trials and tribulations, we find our way
And emerge stronger, with each passing day
The academic sojourn, a transformative ride
Where minds expand, and futures reside"

Gamble of dreams
Your birth on this earth marks the beginning of the universe's test of your strength and resilience.

Born into a lower-class family, where the shadows of poverty loom large, and the thread of emancipation hangs by a fragile thread.

Every step forward is a battle, every breath a testament to resilience.
The weight of circumstance presses down, yet the human spirit yearns to rise above.

A delicate balance between hope and despair, where every decision is a gamble, and every dream is a luxury.

Still, the flame of aspiration flickers, a beacon in the darkness, guiding the way towards a brighter future."

Paradox of values
In fleeting life, we chase the wind
Prioritizing appearance, we forget within
The soul, a flame that flickers bright
Longing to rise, to shine with all its light

Yet, we bury the body, deep in the ground
While the essence ascends, without a sound
A paradox of values, a mismatched creed
A call to reevaluate, to plant a new seed

Let us nurture the soul, let it be our guide
For in its depths, our true beauty resides
Not in external shells, but in inner grace
A radiance that time and space won't erase

May we align our actions with our heart's desire
And let the soul's ascent be our one true fire.

If the appearance is more important than the soul, then why would the soul rise up to the sky after death and we bury the body in the ground?

By birth not by choice
"I became black as a result of the race I am born into
I didn't get to choose the color of my skin
The native tongue I inherited is because of the ethnic group I'm born into
Our various religions were the ones we were born into
Neither did we get a discourse on the beliefs we become

But in this skin, I find my strength
In this tongue, my voice is heard
In this heritage, my roots run deep
And in these beliefs, my spirit is stirred

I may not have chosen my birthright
But I'll embrace it with all my might
For in the end, it's not the choices we make
But how we own them, that makes us who we are, and who we'll become"

Our identities are shaped by our birth circumstances, but also celebrates the beauty and power that comes from embracing and owning our heritage.

Our circumstances of our birth is indeed a powerful acknowledgment of who we are. Our identities are intricately woven into the fabric of our history, culture, and beliefs, shaping us in profound ways. It's through accepting and owning these aspects that we can truly understand ourselves and appreciate the richness they bring to our lives. It's a beautiful reflection on the strength found in our roots and the essence of who we are.

Speak up
Speak up
Speak Nigerians, speak for you poses a mouth that heals a nation.
It is in thine voice of thy mouth and thy vibrations on thy body that remedies spring forth.

Speak Nigerians, speak against the calamity that befall your land.
Speak against the hand that hurt thee.
Speak against the innocent blood spilled to please others.

Speak Nigerians in a united tone so your voices can be heard.
Speak to tell your fears.
Speak to make it clear.
Speak to put the nation right.
Speak to put an end to police brutality.
Speak to put an end to misappropriation of funds.
Speak to put an end to intimidation and High-handedness.
Speak to put an end to deteriorating health facilities.
Speak to put an end to weak institutional structures.
Speak to put an end to electoral misconduct.

Speak to put an end to unemployment as a normality
Speak to put an end to poor social amenities
Speak to put an end to injustice
Speak to put an end to oppression
Speak to put an end to sectionalism played by our political elite
We are tired of freedom of speech guaranteed but freedom after speech denied

Arise o compatriot
Arise fellow comrades in the struggle
We clamor vehemently to put and end to bad governance
So our future can be secure

THE EYES ARE MEANT TO SEE!
THE NOSE ARE CREATED FOR SMELLING!
YOUR MOUTH IS POSITIONED TO LIP!
THE EAR IS CONSTRUCTED FOR HEARING!
WHAT IF THE EAR HEARS ABD REFUSES TO INTERPRET TO THE MOUTH FOR TRANSLATION?
WHAT IF THE NOSE SMELLS AND THE EYES DENIES TO REVEAL THE VIEW OF THE ODOUR?
THEY ALL BELONG TO THE HEAD!!!

THE HEAD CAN'T ROLL OFF BECAUSE IT NEEDS THE NECK!
THE NECK DEPENDS ON THE SHOULDER TO ROTATE!
THE SHOULDER REQUIRES THE STERNUM TO REACH DOWN TO THE WAIST!
THE WAIST IS ASSISTED BY THE LEGS FOR A BETTER POSTURE!
THE LEGS DEPENDS ON THE FEET TO STAND AND WALK!

TO HAVE A TOUCH AND HOLD OF WHAT YOU SEE THE ARM WAS ATTACHED!
BIT BY BIT THE BODY WAS CREATED!

APPARELS WERE DESIGNED TO PROTECT OUR ******!
AND SHOES TO HEAL THE PAINS OF THE FEET!
FOR ALL WAS CRAFTED TO SERVE A PURPOSE!
DISAGREEMENT DOESN'T BRING A STOP TO THE PURSUIT BUT A DELAY TO WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS.
