I asked my better half “Would you marry me today?” and he answered in a sarcastic tone “Yes my dearest right away” but I could tell by that sly look in his eyes.. that this was just a lie.. I caught him off guard with no time to think.. this would be the reason why!!

Huh forty two long years is a long time to be wed.. listening to one another’s snoring when you are lying sleepless in your bed..then there’s the belching and the passing wind when you are snuggled under the covers..when one is married these things happen fast from when you were just young lovers.. I was nineteen and he was only twenty one.. just a couple of ‘Wet behind the ears’ when all was said and done..

Well I often wonder would couples do it all again.. there are those that divorce but still alot who remain..marriage isn’t easy it has it’s highs with it’s lows.. then when the kids come along well one has the bickering blows..so I reckon the pair of us both deserve a special treat.. forty two years of wedded bliss is no mean feat🤣

I am on my way to happiness..they say it’s over there..with nothing to worry about and no infection anywhere.. normality will welcome me without a problem or care.. Ooh I can’t wait to inhale that lovely, clean fresh air

There are plenty of  places for passengers if you would like to come with me..I can take you back in time where the world was wonderful and carefree..you certainly won’t need a facemask, noone needs those you see.. everybody just lives their lives as happy as can be

I am so looking forward to browsing all the shops.. I have got cash with me I fancy some new tops..This round trip calls at lots of retail stores on it’s many stops.. and the coach is absolutely free with beautiful backdrops..so if you want to come along it’s the red bus on the street.. dress to impress but wear comfortable shoes on your feet.. the sun will be shining so you will feel the heat..it takes us to at a pretty park to meet and greet..

A beautiful majestic barn owl
Silently glides from barn to tree
I stare at this ghostly figure
As its eyes are fixed on me

I dare not move whilst standing still
As I’m willing it not to fly
It turns its neck & raises its wings
Then yells out a shrill cry

Oh pretty Mr Barn owl you need not be scared of me
Just to meet you on my nightly stroll
Means the world to me

I’ll not tell anyone I saw you
I will not tell a soul
This wise old owl must read my
Mind
As it swoops down to grab a vole

Wow, I cant believe what I’ve just seen
How lucky I must be
To witness this before my eyes
It fills my heart with glee

I swear before he flew away
He looked me in the face
I heard him say ‘Good evening’
Then he lifted off with grace

Tittle tattle.. squibble squabble running  in a circle.. I’ve tried to sort it out but my face is now purple.. For pity’s sake please stop bickering coz life is too short..falling out over children should be the last resort!!!

He heard this.. she said that.. but does it even matter.. I can’t be bothered with all this negative chitter chatter.. history has happened and we cannot change that.. but it would be the best idea to brush it under a mat.. Nowadays there’s more than enough of trial and tribulations and it will stay this way until we get some vaccinations

Why can’t we all be friendly and forget about the past.. don’t you agree this unpleasantness is absolutely aghast.. shake hands if you have to but for Pete’s sake make up.. offer each other a drink from the loving cup..kids will be kids this is just what they do but you are making them miserable with your hullaballoo

When you think you’ve got the whole world on your shoulders falling down ontop of you with heavy boulders.. try not to despair.. there is always hope out there.. but talk to someone about your trouble before it moulders..

There will always be that caring listening ear who will talk you through your grievances and fear..never bottle up inside what you can easily confide..because worries will only worsen if left to hide..don’t hesitate to get help in your hour of need..choose a good friend by all means and once you’ve opened up and spilled the beans..those dillemas will disappear away indeed..

Squawking Seagulls swooping on the seashore.. now there’s s screeching sound that I absolutely adore..
scavenging the coastal lands as happy people play.. building brilliant sandcastles on a midsummer’s day

Seaside resorts are as busy as can be.. scoffing fish and chips with mushy peas for their tea.. a scattering of shops selling seaside souveniers.. caring Grandkids buying bric-a-bric for the little old dears..There is nothing nicer than a trip to the coast and if you go on the sabbath you will love a Sunday roast

So grab the stripey wind breaker and some buckets and spades.. now don’t forget to add the  suncream with everybody’s eyeshades..pack a picnic basket..sandy sandwiches are a tasty treat.. but don’t take chocolate coz it will melt in the heat.. your carboot is full to the brim.. you are off to the seaside to enjoy that swim

Er’e he plays his pipes forever and a day and his faithful friend is ne’er far away..wi Scotland in his blood and those bagpipes t’ween his shoulder.. his sight warms the cockles frae any beholder..

“Speed bonny boat like a bird on the wing” and as the Scottish songs echo around.. all the passerby’s sing.. but Malcolm stands steadfast with his mind on his mission.. as the crowds enchore and revel in their vision.. for here is a true born Celtic soul and his passion for his historic past is his absolute goal..

So Malcolm McEwan plays his bagpipes far and wide with Misty his old Collie dog e’er by his side..
And I can well imagine that thru the timelessness of time when the pair have risen up to those heaven’s so sublime..there amidst the shadows and the darkness of the night.. one will hear yon pipes playing with muster and might.and ay it’l be the lone piper with his loyal pet happy in play.. listening to “Over the hills and faraway”
