Bliss
Nicolas Vega Apr 2019
Sane
A word for someone who doesn’t know
The things this world can give you
Calm
To do what others think you should
Alive
To feel
No matter the emotion
Friend
Someone by your side
Family
Someone you don't want to live without

Maybe these things are good
As i’ve been told
Maybe i’ve been told wrong
I hear
Ignorance is bliss
It has been
At least in my experience

Fear
The thing that keeps you alive
Loneliness
An emotion felt when you finally get time to yourself
But too much time, when you asked for a little
Pain
To be unhappy yet still
Completely alive
Death
When life is over
And no one knows what happens

Maybe these things are bad
Or so i’ve been told
I don't really know
Ignorance is bliss
At least i think it is
Because you don’t have to think as much
About the things you know to be true

Lying
To not say something you think
Cheating
To do something someone else dislikes
Stealing
To take what you want
Faking
To be something your not
Fool
To travel the path untaken

This is how i’ve been described
The things i’ve been taught
They say
Ignorance is bliss
But you can’t exactly get that back

Outlet
Nicolas Vega Mar 2019
Cut yourself
Write it down
Cut someone else
Or just have ***
Just so you can feel it
So you can release your emotions

We all have different forms
of dealing with ****
That we don't understand
It's called your outlet

Medicate, Hallucinate
See things
Out of you own mind
Live things
Even if it’s all a lie
Find peace
In this hell
Of your own creation

Were you meant for this
God only knows
Does god exist
Nobody knows
I’m nobody
And i don’t know anything
I’m not living i’m dying
Yet i feel so alive
So **** me again

Contradiction
The ultimate expression
of the human condition
Live to die and live again
Holy hell
I can’t take this ****
I don't want to live through this again
If you're against cussing please don't comment about my language

The Lonely Road
Nicolas Vega Mar 2019
We all have the choice,
To lead or follow.

The choice of a follower,
Is who you walk behind,
Who you choose to lead you.
Will they lead you to the path,
Of destruction or fortitude?

The choice of the leader,
Is which path to take.
Left or right,
As the fork comes closer,
A decision your followers await.

One man stands alone,
Not allied to a cause,
A leader on his own,
The one man left alone.

A black path stands before him.
Winding is this new road,
And the loner starts his journey,
In the darkness of the unknown.

He walks to find the light,
To find a sense of right and wrong,
When he no longer has the will to walk,
Then the man will fight.

In the darkness he makes fire,
But in the light of the flame,
Looks only at his shadow,
For darkness is not banished,
Only pushed away,
Realizing this,
This man lost his will to stay.

He saw flashlights ahead.
He saw people he understood.
He found a man broken in blue,
But did not make him whole.

He picked up the pieces,
And gave the man those.
He said “do what you will,”
But the other man wanted not to be alone.

As the men faced each other,
They were of two different minds,
Yet took the same road.
The man in blue asked as the man walked away,
“Do you really think,
That from any path you have strayed.”

The man walked away,
Leaving the one in blue,
But as the man left,
The one in blue did two.
He would chase the man to the ends of the Earth,
For when the man had started his flame,
The ashes had turned the blue to gray.

This color wavered,
The color changed,
The changed man walked,
Towards the loner,
Hoping one day,
They would be loners no longer,
In this world of disarray.
