Warmth
Nathaniel Owen Jun 2014
The warmth
Weight
Of another body
It's a very pleasant feeling

Knowing that body is
Alive
Breathing
Thinking, always thinking

But a person none the less.
Whether there for love
Lust? Maybe
Or possibly Coincidence

Regardless it's Supple
comforting
Soothing
Warm, always warm

The craving for this
Feeling
Or maybe desire
It's bearable, but not pleasant

I'm alone
Quiet
Cold
Alone, so alone..

Wanting
Craving
Even Striving FOR
This Pleasant Feeling..

Warmth
Just warmth
Thinking, still thinking
Always wanting, warmth..

Our Life
Nathaniel Owen Aug 2014
That flower of a girl.
she's delicate as can be,
every movement so divine.

The innocents in her smile.
Guilt's me,
Making me want to renounce my wicked ways.

One day I will.
and be happy,
Truly joyful for my life.
Our life.

Metro In France
Nathaniel Owen Jun 2014
All humans have similar needs,
We all want to find love,
And we want life to be easier,
No matter the place it’s the same,

This youthful boy such a handsome boy,
He tells me he’s in love,
not with his words,
I do not know French,

Head gently rested against the metros wall,
Gorgeous eyes heavy with anxiety,
Hair combed back with a lite gel,
Lips neutral with intent for her,

I see your emotions,
Though I can speak your tongue,
I know how this boy feels,
I want to reach out to him, help him..

My gaze locks,
And he glances back with calling,
Yet we break eye contact fully,
Indefinitely for sure.

The worry of his face and longing on his heart,
I know his pain I have felt it too my friend with no name that is said,
But this moment is about you and you have my condolences boy,
I know you are going to see her now…

The metro comes to a halt and the boy leave shaking with anxiety now,
He looks to me for the final time,
He smiles knowing we had a conversation that lasted for months,
All in that moment across the metro in Paris, France
This is a true story from my travels.

Cigarette
Nathaniel Owen Jul 2014
I'd rather you be my cancer,
Then this pack of 4.95
Cruising down the that road,
Maybe for the thousandth time.

Like the smoke exhaled from my lungs,
Blowing in the wind till it's out of sight,
When you're around I'm at a lack of words,
Shortness of breath from the cigarettes.

I want to love you I want to help you,
We both have our wounds,
Yours are external to show the pain,
Mine being internal to show no weakness.

Smoking this cigarette ever so slowly,
You disappear in to the distance
As does my last smoke of the night,
I will save you but I need it first.

My World
Nathaniel Owen Apr 2014
You're not of my world
The way you hold yourself shows
Independent and proud
Yet coming off arrogant

In my world it's wrong
The sting of a kiss
The potency of your aroma
IT should not swoon me

I am not of this world
You thrive and grow
Distant from me
I must return to where I, shall be.

Pure
Nathaniel Owen Sep 2014
My eyes carry the heavy burdens that surround me,
It’s been so long since I've seen my tears,
Now no one will come running to my defense,

My sanity.

But they all want a part of the cake,
Keep it all behind your demons and listen to me,
We have problems only the pure can help,

My purity is about to run out.

How A Story Plays Out
Nathaniel Owen Jul 2014
The angry boy so fully of loathing and self-loathing,
Now a sad man all alone with silence and loneliness at his side.

Distance
Nathaniel Owen Jun 2014
It's not the big things
But gazing in awe

We, you and I
We are small

I look up in the night
And I see shimmers

You know the last time
Well last time we were together

The stars love
They remind me of your eyes

Hundreds of miles away
I miss you

Solitude has [won/one]
Nathaniel Owen Jul 2014
This reality is not of my own
I'm so happy yet I'm alone
Romance is two but solitude has [won/one]
Hands laced tight but to a cold bar
The complements roll only in my head
Fingers through hair but it's just a dream
There is a smile yet you know it's fake
Take my hand but I still got burned
Just a passionate kiss from behind my window.
Switch the words out in the bracket and you get two completely different tones.

Empty Static
Nathaniel Owen Jul 2014
Through the speakers silence,
I swallowed my pride,
I excepted it,
and,
I hated everything about it.

Come to Me
Nathaniel Owen May 2014
Distance and time
Such a problem to a mortal
The emotion rare to last
always altered...

In an upset fashion
Not anxious
"Come back to me,
I miss you."

Time and distance
cause such issues
"Come home to me,
I love you."

For once
I am not waiting
No messages to deliver
No calls to be answered

For once
I'm crying
Over a loss
The fact I never had

For once
I hate myself.
