Shelby Mccrary May 2017
There's fire in my veins and all I see is red.

The monster inside of me is unlocking its cage it's going to come out and it's got blood on the mind

it's smells you from miles away as it seeks its revenge

It is the predator and you are the prey prepare for a mind meltdown because it's going to ***** you up and spit you out. Poem by Shelby Kathleen Nightingale

Panic attack
Shelby Mccrary May 2017
My breathing increases extremely and my chest starts to feel like an elephant sitting on it.

My skin feels like it's inside out and also on too tight.

Every noise is a thousand times louder and a thousand times more irritating

I cannot speak because my mouth cannot form the words I'm getting tongue-tied and angry at myself

I try to stay calm but I cannot do so I am having a panic attack. Poem by Shelby Kathleen Nightingale

Alcohol
Shelby Mccrary May 2017
Some drink to dull the pain and to forget the memories that haunt them.

The memories of their monsters that turn them into monsters when they drink the poison that we call alcohol.

It goes by many names whiskey, ***** or tequila

It is the disease eating away at them.

Making them lose the good within them.  Poem by Shelby Kathleen Nightingale

Top Dog
Shelby Mccrary May 2017
The world is one big jungle some of us are prey and others are predators.

We live just to survive because it is in our nature to go on.

We're always fighting to get to the top.

To be the top dog in this fight and trying to fight the agony of this world

Remember keep your guard up there's always a snake in the grass trying to bite when you have fallen on your knees and are struggling to get back up. Poem by Shelby Kathleen Nightingale

Devil
Shelby Mccrary May 2017
Speak of the devil and he will appear.

Like a knight of Darkness targeting his next prey.

The only thing that can stop him is the Great Wall of light that protects us from his dark touch that can seduces us into turning our souls dark.

For the desire of man kind will not satisfy our souls hunger when we have faded from this Mortal coil

Secrets and lies
Shelby Mccrary Apr 2017
Secrets and lies can be like a double-edged sword.

“When” Secrets come into The light of day.

Not only can they be harmful to the person you kept the secret from but they can be just as harmful to yourself as well.

And when the illusion of lies are broken the trust that someone once had in you has vanished then you have to rebuild the Bridge of trust all over again Poem By Shelby Kathleen Nightingale

She
Shelby Mccrary Apr 2017
She
She has eyes that can see the good or the evil in people.

They are so intense they look into your very soul.

Her emotions are like a raging Storm That Never Calms.

Her heart is made out of gold.

She's sweet and loving when she wants to be but it's so hard to find her heart she locked it away.

Like a hidden treasure buried on a Mysterious Island.

She speaks in rhyme because poetry is her true language.

Her hair as black as night. Her eyes are as green as the forest, her lips are shaped like a little heart, beautiful and soft to the touch.

And she can say a thousand word's with just one glance.

And her wild emotion's are controlled by the moon like it control's the tide's.

She wears her heart on her sleeve's so she's easily hurt.

And she could feel the world's emotions with her soul that shines so bright. Poem by Shelby Kathleen Nightingale
