I did not sing in the shower today.
Oh, I made noises in there,
But they weren't meant to be...
Pretty.
With my shoulders quaking,
And my breath shaking,
Feeling it raking and
ripping through me,
In and out, in and out,
Just need to breathe
In and out, in and out
Through the pain inside,
And a satly mixture of water and tears
On my lips, my cheeks.
Yet my eyes
Are somehow...
Dry.
No.
I did not sing in the shower today.
Today,
I cried.

Under Pressure
Mmkay Jan 2019
Cold, rust, metallic
Bars of stagnance and "normal"
Hold me captive, Caged.
F**k social norms. I will be myself, even if I'm not "normal".

Ideas
Mmkay Jan 2019
Ideas are better than reality.
In your mind,
Things are so much more,
Colorful and glossy.
With your expectations raised high,
And a brightness in your eye,
All for harsh reality
To splash cold water in your face.
And turn everything
Into dull blues, blacks, and grays.
It always seems like in my mind, things are so much more in focus, and lively, but when reality kicks in, it just doesn't compare to my imagination.

Freedom
Mmkay Jan 2019
I refuse to stay
Inside a relationship.
Trapped by loneliness
Desperation, self-pity;
I deserve better than that

Stagnance
Mmkay Jan 2019
They put my cage beside a
window.
While my heart bleeds
And my body remains
stagnant,
My dreams touch the
Stars, sun, moon.
They are as trapped as I
am.

We Are
Mmkay Jan 2019
We are all wanderers
Roaming the land and Sea
Searching for the things
We hope make us
Complete.

We are all scavengers
Picking up little bits
Seeing if anything fits
Into our own warped self-
Image

We are all desperate
Frantically trying to
Sew, tape, staple, and glue
The abandoned pieces of others,
Re-used.

We are all seperate
Full of light and darkness
Of emotions and images
Things we've taken, stolen, adapted,
Given.

We are all wanderers
We are all scavengers
We are all desperate
We are all seperate
And yet,
We are all connected.
