Singed on my skin
is a memory
burnt on my thoughts
are your eyes
with a touch
you calm the raging waters
within me
as I wade through a flood

This tattoo stain
stings my soul at night
waking me in a river of wonder

Bathing in the sands of lost time
I stir
Longing for more memories to drown in

As the blue fades
my dreams wither
within it

While the light of the ancient stars
breathes around us
I begin to cry against the wind
and within this dark moment
The blue of earth
takes me

These days don’t
say I love you like
you do.

Like you do.

I must imagine you near.
Your throne awaits
my king
The way the soldiers
stand so tall
like you do.

Like you do.

I can sense you close
now as the wind washes
this away.

Searching for the dragons
among us to take away the pain.
like you do.

Like you do.

Falling from the dreaming sky
cutting myself on it’s edges.
these nights don’t whisper
to me like you do.

Like you do.

Cold and alone
with only my thoughts
of you to keep me warm.

Like you do.

Upon those lips
behind your eyes
I'm caught in a snare
short of breath
I can't help but to stare
feeling my way though the dark
a familiar path stitched on my skin
Stealing myself from this world
hiding from the pain
Upon those lips
behind your eyes
I'm caught in your lie

Mother spoke from Heaven to me last night
She told me
Now the night stirs

The storms rage on and on
as I listen
listen to you
your heart beats
to the sound of the
Earth as it quakes

Father whispers
listen
listen to the blue
this shaded hue
in the night
this night on fire
watch it stir

I am the strange
sitting near the edge
of tomorrow

Like me, you falter
living in these shadows of
the odd

The pain inside growing
without tears
You push me
to the edge of my reality

My insides speaking
to the sparkles in the sky.

Asking for them to rescue me
As I am
as you are

The odd.

Stealing a whisper from
my lips as the voices echo
from afar

My reflection pouring
from the hourglass
while speaking
of  loneliness with her
saddened glare

She doesn't recognize
me as I am well aware

Her beauty now gone
only her eyes and their
saddened glare remain.

Magical dew drops falling from the sky
Winter whispers in a dark and different way

You will find the nebulas dancing
in and out of sight

Real or imagined
we slip and slide
while the giant planets
sleep in the solar night

Together we dance
and we bathe in
the space of time

Do you know who you are?

How you shine

In the upside down
In the moonlight
where the mermaids swim

This land of make believe
The creatures here know your name

Wing-ed things calling from afar
their magic burnt on my soul
forever

Ancient warlocks casting shadows
Their black cats singing
to the violins

Now it's raining big blue diamonds

I see your reflection
in my shadow
guiding me
through life

This time
I know how to
make you stay

We'll swim in the oceans
of the magic of space
and we'll shine

We'll shine

Paranoia in the brain
hearing soft voices calling
I hear you through the wall

The void above sends messages
yet hides behind itself

The stars are calling
I can't find a way to answer

Alone, I slumber in a hole of thought
Michelle Morine Feb 2017
Waking early
too early
I can't sleep right

The mind racing
and pacing in me
too fast

Too fast to slow down
I can't slow down
can't stop this head on collision

Our souls intertwine
as I begin to fall
the way the rain does
from the sky

A silent whisper from
the lips of heaven
speaks to you while
in a stillness warmth
I watch from afar

In the furious above
the thunder grows in a
steady pace, kept time by the
masters within

A curious moon loved by
the night knows how we
move to become
one
finally finding a center

Far from now, in the yesterday
The prophets will rise
with the message

Lifting us up passed this space
in a place where we can listen
to the sounds of the stardust

Underneath the light
buried in the vast night
as hurried expressions
find us without sight

as you and I come closer
to underneath the light

All I wanted
Just to see you

A desert by the sea
remember me?
A mirror in the sky
reflections blurring by.

Deep into daylight
I would find you
don't try to fight me

Writing in the sand
I lost the way
to you.

Functioning at under normal levels
lost under your breath
seducing the mind
blending thoughts together
as misfits unite

A glitch in the programming
a break in the night

Bring the water
that I breathe
and I'll drown
in your sight

Lost to an emotion
I thought I forgot
then a breath of
air.
Michelle Morine Apr 2016
Am I so strange
that I can sense you
here
with me
in my thoughts
whispering
finding hope in negative spaces
finding light in an underground bunker
stars hiding behind the sun

Jupiter told me innocently
anyway

differences can lead you astray
so to become one
I'll blend us together

Living on Mars
easy enough
Michelle Morine Dec 2014
Lost to the heavens
leaves a tear on my soul

Darkness alludes me
I am the white raven
flying alone
no more are stones
thrown

Eyes of a fiercely carved
star

watching

awaiting your return
in the wake of memories
I'll float above
my wings the shade
of a dove's

My breathing grows heavy
as the sands in the desert shift

Soaring though this
poisonous storm wind
calling you in my dream

Escaping a trap that was
set
by the wizards
who sought control
of the night
