Baptized by water
Puried by fire
Born with the eye of the tiger
I am mutible & inspire

In Pisces for 2000 years
A fish swimming in tears
As Aquarius appears
I'll spend the next 2000
Conquering fears

Can you guess my Chinese and western zodiac based off this poem?

Vast like the desert
Infinite like the universe
My heart & mind
Understanding them both
An endless moment in time

As I stare
Far into the deep black sky
A twinkle in my eye
The light shines from such a distance
That it source is no longer in existence

Personal Legend is the journey
Eternal alchemy is the key
Spirit in my Temple
please guide me
As I stare into eternity
Supposedly the farthest star is 28 billion light years away. The closest is 4.24 light years away. The average is  2.5 million light years away. That would mean most of them aren’t there anymore, we are looking into the past 2.5 million years ago.
The Bible tells the story of God’s kingdom breaking through human empires, from Egypt to Rome, through people who belonged to neither, yet changed both.
The arc of Scripture spans the rise and fall of the world’s greatest empires, yet its central figures Moses and Jesus come from oppressed peoples living within those empires, not from the ruling elite.
God consistently works within and against the empires of the world not by raising up emperors, but by calling humble, unexpected individuals to bring freedom, truth, and covenant.
It’s as if God lets the empires rise in their might, only to use a servant from within their borders to reveal a higher kingdom.
Know Ye not that Ye are temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwellest in you!
At first the LORD wrote the law in Stone.
Then in our hearts and minds.
EL Nopal Michael grew from a Baron land
The defending himself with thorns
Thirsty For water to drink
Somehow he produced pitayas to eat
Knowing that they would judge El Nopal
By the lack of fruits He bare
He was still proud, they was rare.
Ripe with dimples, smiling with a dare
Even through pain, still willing to share
A thorn to the heart as I stare,
Life is a mirage and he is no longer there.
I originally wrote the poem “Nopal” based off a Sunday church service about being judged by the fruits we bare as “Christians”. I asked myself what kind of fruit do I bare? Then I came to the conclusion that although I do not bare a lot of fruit, I produce fruit grown in the baron desert like the Nopal produces tunas or pitayas. Not in great quantities, but high quality in a land of limited food. I am a Nopal Aka The Cactus & pitayas are delicious.
