Thunder rolls among the treetops
My breath quickly fades
My heart completely stops
The chill of night is full of sound
The light begins to fade
The night becomes so loud
The enchantress begins to slowly pace
My breath rapidly grows
My heart quivers, as she reveals her face
Her hand reaches slowly
She holds my gaze as our hands interlace
The darkness engulfs my anxieties
The path of night follows our trail
It leads us through the trees in its varieties
The chill of night prevails
In these times the mind can play tricks
We see what our hearts desire
But in this moment all I saw were candlesticks
The flames burned a vivid blue
The wind whistled through the leaves
The enchantress touched my face and I knew
I looked upon myself in disbelief
The chill of night was me I thought through
In this moment I felt utter relief
Knowing I had the power of night
The chill of night is a reminder
I am the enchantress by night
Only one who believes in magic can find her
When the night is overcome by light
She will disappear only to reoccur
Each night with the sound of the wind she will fight
To be heard through the thunder rolling in the distance
If you have the belief, you can be part of my existence
