I can feel your hands
and the way they loosely touch my spine.
Your warm breath behind my neck, and your freckles that are like tiny specks caught up in my fingertips;
I'd remember every corner of your skin even with my two eyes closed,
I'd know you're around just by the sweet deep timber of your voice.
Every morning I run my hands through your hair,
That is like a cure you never thought you'd need for your despair.
Your lips on mine
And our love bordering with the divine.
I look at you and I know where my mind and heart belong.
For you are not beside but within me.
I have you, dear, and I can't see beyond it.

Close our bedroom door
and leave your dreams on the floor.
Look into my eyes,
Make sure my soul's not on fire,
Because there is you and there is me,
Never felt we were complete.
Caress these scars as tender as you did
before you packed your things and tried to leave.
Ask me where I've been,
And I'll tell you what I've seen.
Ask me where I've been,
And maybe I'll fall for you the way I did when I was a teen.
Ask me where I've been,
and I'll kiss all of your skin.
Ask me where I've been,
when you left for Aberdeen.

There's a heavy and dark night
That hides the sky
And a forest burning out everything that was left behind
Your voice is like an echo that tells me: everything's fine
The body is running out of blood
Is it yours or is it mine?

Through the snow
We run to reach the sun
Life may leave my eyes
But know your hands were made for mine
I will wait for you to follow me
Into the dark
And maybe it will make death something easier to stand.
