In her he saw a Queen
A field of pastures ever so green.
He knew she belonged to another king
Yet he would to her ear, sweet endearment sing.
Sparks of flames in her did he ignite
Mind you, she grasped the delight.
In his life she shone so bright
But he feared she might become a candy-coated blight.
He chose to save them both
Obliging to their feelings was never an oath.
He feared she would in his world drown
Hence he distanced himself so she would keep her crown.
