A flash of a lens
A collection of pixels
Could never make me
Want to doubt my own thighs
And the way they meet each other
At every step
Unlike yours
It was only you that
Nourished the plants
That grew from the garden of my
Insecurities.

They pick at each other like scabs
yet never let the wounds
feel exposed under their layers
of regenerating skin
As much as they make bruises
with their nicknames
and laugh it off as effortlessly
as it slipped out their mouths,
They are also the love
that heals all the pain
When one leaves
the other two produce more love
than usual
so that the third is not missed as much
But oh.
when all three sit around the kitchen table
or huddled on the couch
You can feel the rainbow
stretching further
over the earth.

Little bricks stacked on top of each other but it's just too bad that all their efforts go towards such a painful thing as setting limits on how much my heart overflows.

HOW DOES IT PUMP BLOOD WITH SO MUCH PAIN TO CARRY
AS MUCH AS I LOVE
I CAN'T GIVE A PIECE OF IT
TO EVERYONE WHO LEAVES ME
MY HEART IS FOR MY BODY
**NOT YOURS
