As I lie here close to death,
I see my life, not before but after, all at rest.
And my body will die, but my soul will live on,
And my spirit, like my soul, will also be gone.
Like that of a rock, my body will lie,
As my soul and spirit sit in the heavens and cry,
Not for my life, but for my death thereafter
A life of happiness, no sorrow, and laughter;
A life of no death, no hurt, no pain,
A place where eternity I shall remain.
And because of those reasons, I do not regret
This physically eternal rest called death.
