It’s rolling rolling rolling
Slowing down way before it’s time

Next time, the ball decided
Let me have more momentum

So, it started going faster and faster and faster
Just forgot to stay in the center

Next time let me go faster and stay
In the center, decided the ball

There you go
You know what happened next
Spring means something different for all of us. To me, it’s all about possibility.

A reset to Mother Earth
Taking a little nap
From growing and growing
So much green
She donned the white
Willingly and joyfully
Why not me
As I recall the joyous
Rides down the hills
Most fun only
Winter can offer

I’m bidding farewell
To the reset
Respite
Offered
As I gently await
The awakening
With the end of one season comes another. Let's bring in spring as winter lays behind us.

Love
So loosely used
So least meant
So what’s your take on it?

I love nature
I love my country
I love my community
I love my fellow me’s
Lastly but not least
Love my family

My comrades, what’s
Your love list?
On this Valentine’s Day, I urge you to reflect on love, its forms and permutations, its complexities and layers.

Snake coiled in the minds
Looped in overlapping thoughts
At the bequest of the wood snake
Let’s unravel the forgotten

Foregone memories, engraved patterns
Elastic mind seems to accommodate
It all with no apparent problems
Letting go of the most recent

Digging deeper for the next best collection
Finding ways to make peace and appease
To make room for the unwanted pile
Waiting to be let go

Finally, the most difficult, most essential
Purge awaits, where the most important
Weighing down and down, compacted
And crushing need to be unearthed
Awaits

May the wood snake bring the resolute mind
The courage and strength to release it all
Turning inward and be in harmony
With one and all
2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake. In Daoism, the wood refers to returning to one’s true nature.

I hear the hum
Wait a minute a tune
Holy moly, the entire song

Do you hear mine?
I hear them all
Yours, yours, and yours

Sometimes a happy song
Sometimes not so
Sometimes jubilant
Sometimes melancholy
Yet other times
Simply mysterious
Some point on the bow
All colorful but no name
To call out

I simply hear it all
Songs of the universe
By the maestro

This piece is a commentary on the current political climate and a certain inauguration that recently took place.

I am at the beach
Watching the wave
Suddenly felt a prickle
Of the lone shell

Wanting a place
In my necklace
As I gather
Many more

To belong
In its earnest
Desire
The lone shell
Lands in its
Place
This piece explores the power of observation and stepping into the shoes of another being.

Waiting for a new breath
To carry me through
The staleness of the past

Waiting for the ******
To steer me to the present

Waiting for the direction
To welcome the future
With vision
It's a new year, promising new beginnings. Here's to a year of hope and possibility.
