I'm shattering chains, I'm breaking free
Unleashing the me, that's been trapped inside of me

I'm embracing my scars, I'm wearing my heart
I'm rising from the ashes, a brand new start

I'm letting go of the pain, that once defined
I'm finding my strength, in the tears I've left behind

I'm learning to love, the person I've become
I'm emerging from the darkness, into the warm light of home

No matter what we do, no matter how we try
Death will come for us, and we can't decline
We can't hide,we can't run,we can't deny
Death will find us, in every way we lie

Wealth, power, youth, and beauty, all will fade
Death takes everyone, no matter the shade
No magic, no prayer, can keep it at bay
Death comes for all, every single day

We can't cheat death, no matter what we do
It's waiting for us, me and you
So let's live our lives, with hearts that are true
'Cause death's dark shadow, is waiting there for you

A father and a son fish together

On a river wide, with the sunshine complementing the fair weather

Their lines cast out like hopes and dreams

Waiting for bites and life's themes

Like life's journey, the river flows

Ups and downs as it goes

Sometimes calm, turbulent and wide

We navigate through side by side

The bait we use, like choices we made

It attracts good things or mistakes we made

Like patience we hold, waiting for a bite

That the moment unfolding may be right

Fish bites like challenges faced

Requires strength and skill to take

The ones that get away, the mistakes we've made

Teach us wisdom for the next step to face

As the sun sets on this
fishing day

The father and son reflect on life's way

They go and learn from their experiences too

Hopefully they find wisdom in all they do

Moment's Breath

Life's delicate dance, a whispered sigh,
Fleeting moments, slipping by.
Like autumn leaves, we fade to gold,
Ephemeral beauty, growing old.

In hourglass hearts, our time is told,
Grains falling,story untold
Memories linger, then dissolve,
Leaving emptiness, a hollow soul.

On life's vast beach, we write our name,
Washed away in waves,eternal claim.
Like shifting sands, we slide and sway,
Constant change, each passing day.

Rootless, we drift, like desert dust,
No permanent home, we trust.
Yet in the flow, we find our way,
Embracing impermanence, day by day.
