Finding Me
Johnny Wells Jun 2018
Study the reflection that I look upon with disdain,
Reflect on the study of my twisted brain,
Pull out the greatness from the depths of my soul,
Push back the fear and take back control.

A call to clear the screen of my distorted view,
Screen the calls that allow the vitriol through,
Remove the pain from the pit of my heart,
Replace the love that I had at the start.

A lot of content to consider whilst pondering what's ahead,
Content with my lot with no tears left to shed,
Take off the shackles so that I can be free,
Put on the mask and pretend I've found me.

Awaiting Karma
Johnny Wells Jun 2018
In the morning I'm mourning the evening,
Because in the evening I take leave of that morning feeling,
Only briefly mind,
As I've got nowhere to go but somewhere to find,
Still lost in the dark, I can see that I'm blind and hear that I'm deaf,
Just waiting and waiting for that final breath,
For the black to consume me and devour from within,
This is my Karma for living in sin,
Not quite a suicide note, just a farewell,
I'll see you around, probably in hell.
