And there I sat in my serenity, unable to gaze without noticing hues of you intertwining like oils on canvas. Each stroke a testament. The vibrant palette dances before my eyes, creating a masterpiece that I am privileged to behold.
A stunning anomaly
Foundation left unleveled
Cracked moldings that whisper
Unexplored corridors forgotten
Tilted pillars striving for balance
Silent echoes lingering
Pushing through the crevices
Life is dying to thrive
Within those ivy clad walls
Embraced by wisteria
Rooted and embedded
For the boy who believes no body sees him.
Bathing in the dark earth.
Tunnels where a heart once sat.
Swallowed, shriveled, hollowed.
Dissolving into the soil.

The cold eternities pass.
Gentle showers begin to fall.
Roots intertwine, weaving the cages.
Life and death are dancing.

I am resting in peace.
As the colors fade,
I come to know that I am the moon.
Craters and forgotten footsteps.
Keeping a delicate balance,
Swaying the odds in another's favor.
Only seen in the glow of your reflection,
Showering light on every imperfection.
You are so blinding,
I cannot see that you are nothing,
Without me, too.
Cannibalistic cravings,
Marinating me in hope.
A face seared into my mind,
Savoring the finest pieces of me.
Preserve me for your lingering hunger.
You are consuming me.
Devouring what we could be.
Each taste leaving you less satisfied,
A bittersweet flavor of desire and dread.
Your appetite leaves me hollow.
