Martha was ugly, like a shaven baboon.
So she wrapped herself up in a curtain cocoon.
One week later, she finally emerged---
She smelled like ****.
What a ******!
I consider myself a mirror.
Look into me and
I shall reflect what
you expect to see.

Everyone despises mirrors
for the truths they echo,
but mirrors are just glass
and they shatter when you hit them.
Well, we could tell ghost stories.
Or we could tell the really scary ones.
What makes you?
What broke you and made you?
Can I hold you and feel the scars?
She stares in the mirror as her enemy stares back

She paints her face white and she dyes her hair black

She lifts up her shirt and presses her fat

She deepens her scars to rid her soul of that
"I can see everything,
All that was,
All that is,
And all that ever could be."

You are a speck,
A tiny spot
in all of time.
I just want you to be safe.

I know you feel big,
Like you can save everyone,
and everything,
But you cannot.

You are so small,
So insignificant,
But you are mine,
And I want you to be safe.

You may be a speck
In the eyes of time,
But to the bad wolf,
You are everything.
"We all have something to say, or something to ask
I don't live in a cage, it's none of your business

Gonna say this clear so you can get it straight
You don't know a thing about me"*

I've lived in this skin
through all the days you haven't
trying to fix me
break down all my walls

these wounds aren't healing
these cuts i'm feeling
this emptiness is filling

each wall is being broken
torn down piece by piece
your beginning to see
who i really am

aren't you scared
