(A Letter to My Mother)
JUDISO Feb 2018
In the silence of night,
Where I can only hear my heartbeat,
I see your pale face,
Smiling, or crying, or feeling nothing;
I don’t know, I’m not sure.
I don’t know; if this is true?
Or just a dream?
But even this vision leaves things uncertain.
And beg to the Lord to enlighten.

Either a dream or reality,
I wouldn’t know what to say;
Just let me stay like this;
For a moment or for good;
My heart keeps beating;
But skips beating.
And beats and faints again.

I’ve always wanted to reach you.
But only tears would show;
Oh! How I long you to visit me,
Because you love me,
Because you miss me, too.

Hours may run, years may pass;
But even eternity can’t subside;
This hollow feeling I have inside;
But, Mama,
Oh dear Mama, I want to say;
Please be happy.
For us. For me.
