A table for four, perfect to sit-in.
But a table for more, invites quarrel within.

A table for two, lends platform for love.
It nurtures a bond, beautiful within thereof.

A table for two can be lonlier
Than a table for one when the person you're with

Is the wrong one.

Memories
Ryan Revilla Mar 2020
Like dancers they move, elegant and pure
Around and around, their heat radiate
A native point shared, their future unsure
Locked face - reaching embrace - they concentrate.

Like wrestlers they wait and intimidate
Approaching each other, anger stirs
A path for both, unsure of which to take
LockedĀ arms - contorted face - their anger spurs.

Like two armies they command and conquer
Deep, strong emotions; of deceit and hate
The cuts run deep spilling blood and water
They scream, ready to strike. Neither are safe.

Emotions are spilled, opened are the gates.
Weapons of speech, of dreams that were failures
No life was spared, no attacks went astray
Nothing remained, only memories saved.

Hope
Ryan Revilla Dec 2018
My love who cries in most darkest of nights
Whose solemn call doth pierces heart above
Yet blind am I, betray'd by useless sight
'I'm here' I cry, this heart to you my love

But to seek to grasp what one cannot gain
An impossible goal, never complete
Unknown to "let go", to burden the pain
Especially when, it's you that I seek

Unheard is my cry, the night is quiet
Timid, embarrassed - The tongue runs silent
It was too early, unbalanced - like clay awaiting its mold
And yet I still fear.
And yet I still hope.
It's you, I still hold.
