Again
Batman Mar 2018
I had a purpose then, pursing the path to catalyze our dream
But it’s a winding road, where you stumble and sway your way amongst the crowd

Don’t get me wrong, I would never go back in time – or play God
But is there a way I could earn back that endless sky?

I can see it in your eyes
Don’t give me that look – ‘cause, you see
You’re the last person I need to pity me

Cryin’ won’t pave a way to forgiveness
Every sin you carve is ever lasting
I’m lost in this maze of emotion
Who am I waiting for?

Now, these once blank pages of my notebook
Become a plea to regain fallen virtue
All this time, I’ve been trying  to run away from my own reality

We’ll live for something as soon as we find it
I’ve forgotten, please remind me, as day turns darkness

Expired chances - but we gotta make it through again

‘cause there’s no where else to run

There’s still so much here, a life worth living
And with time you’ll drown the feeling out (I’M ON THE WAY)
It’s so nostalgic, maybe all the love is worth the pain

It’s not a lack of pride,
But I know I’m to blame, so I apologize
I don’t know what to say
But I wish I could free the worry from your eyes

All we’ve been through and all that’s yet to come
And all that we have become will remain as we roll the dice

Once more, I close my eyes from the sight
But it’s all a futile fight, for it’s all etched inside my mind

If It Shines
Batman Mar 2018
Rainbows after the rain and valiantly blooming flowers spread color about;

I fell in love with you that day, as you gazed up at the crimson sky.
Not even an instantaneous frame of this dramatic film will fade,

‘Cause I’ll carve it all into my heart.
It was you, it was you! The one who made me realize;

If we can make even the darkness shine, it will become a starry sky.
Sadness will turn to smiles, so don’t hide them any longer;

Every one of these twinkling stars will shine upon you.
The morning light I greeted, having forgotten to even sleep, was stingingly bright,

But even the tenseness carried by my headache subsided when I saw you.

A silent romantic; like sugar melting into black tea,

As your voice swirls throughout my body.
It was you, it was you! The one who gave me this smile;

If we can make even tears shine, they’ll become shooting stars.

Your hand has been hurt, but don’t ever let go again;

From a sky filled with wishes, tomorrow will soon come.
The light that led me was you,

And I was pulled along into a run.

Before I knew it, we were beginning to cross paths:

Now’s the time! If we can just shine here…
It was you, it was you! The one who made me realize;

The darkness will come to an end…
It was you, it was you! The one who made me realize;

If we can make even the darkness shine, it will become a starry sky.

Sadness will turn to smiles, so don’t hide them any longer;

Every one of these twinkling stars will shine upon you.
Is the answer always born of coincidence? Necessity?

The path we once chose is what will end up as our fate.

The hopes and concerns you clutched so tightly,

Will surely move us forward to become one with the light.

Ignite

Now, without a second thought, pull the trigger on this inconsistent world.

I thought I understood what kindness meant
From the warmth of a shed tear.
Yet why do we keep hurting one another?
Thus giving birth to more hatred.

If the strength acquired from the pain I keep locked inside,
Will someday softly cover the future, then...

Now, without a second thought, pull the trigger on this inconsistent world.
Softly, softly, embracing this red tears-covered sorrow,
In order for the sound of the beginning, to take the place of my reverberated impulses.

Distorted noises echoing through my ears;
Gradually devouring up my memories.
But even if I sent my prayers, and only stood stock still,
It wouldn't make a difference.

Even my heart's quivering sounds, are undoubtedly growing weaker.
So before the palely shining flame goes out..

Now, tossing all fear away, I'll unshackle this version of me, that's still frightened by the past.
Putting my faith in tomorrow, I'll smash down the rusted door.
Just like my strained feelings, cutting through the silent darkness..

As the shooting stars flicker,
The world will be born once more
And once I see the curtains rise across the night sky, then, surely..

Now, without a second thought, pull the trigger on this inconsistent world.
Softly, softly, embracing this red tears-covered sorrow,
In order for the sound of the beginning, to take the place of my reverberated impulses.
