A rainy day in London
is what I need.
A steaming hot cuppa, you and me.
We could dance in the kitchen in low light.
Have a sword fight, pretend we're knights.

The laughter would be boisterous.
Thunder rumbling low, as you and I watch our favorite show.
Sitting on the couch, cuddled up, not a care in the world as lightning struck.

Our eyelids getting heavy, our heads dipping down.
As sleep takes over our bodies, the noise beginning to drown.
A rainy day in London with you, is all I need to get through.

Your soft brown eyes
Hold the secrets of your soul

The mysteries of the ground
You hold the key for

You make me feel safe
With your aura of warmth

In your eyes, I see a future
Worth fighting for

If the world was ending what would I say to you?
Nothing.

I would say nothing to you because I don't know you.
But I want to.
I have said minimal words to you within the duration of time in which the world wasn't ending; but I have also said thousands.

All the times my gaze has locked on you from across the room I have said,
"Please notice me"
"Turn your head"
"look at me first"

All of the times when I have attempted to catch your eyes when you're speaking.
I have said,
"I hear you"
"Look me in the eyes"
"I enjoy talking to you"

Every gesture
Every glance
Every mention
Every time I have uttered your name

If the world was ending i would say nothing to you because I have already spoken thousands of words to you,
And you never respond.
So why would you if the world was ending?

Do you ever wonder if the noises that you hear at night are a part of your everlasting dream?
You're asleep, but you're awake.
You're peaceful, but you're conflicted.
You're breathing, but at the same time water is invading your lungs.

Euphoria is limited, momentary.
You ride the waves of pure bliss until the realities of the world crash upon you and your board goes under.

Social media's a bore.
Facebook is plastered with mothers complaining about their child's failing grade and Instagram is a wasteland full of withering models and appetite reducing lollipops.

Sexism is infuriating.
A big man closes a door in your face and he's a boss.
A woman stands up for herself and she's being rude and over emotional.

Kids and adults alike are killing themselves.
Someone says they're nothing and they believe it.
They think if they throw themselves of a building it'll all get better.
They dont choose to hate themselves, we tell them too.

People are getting killed for their skin.
Race is not a valid suspicion.
Their skin is the same texture as a white person's.
Some say all lives matter, but all lives dont matter until theirs do.

People suffer, people die gruesome deaths, relationships can be frail, and the freedom our ancestors fought so valiantly for is polluted. Innocent individuals are being killed because of their race. Blood is shed, lives are taken and no mercy is shown. We are our salvation and our demise, whether the world rises or falls that is up to us.
