Death-the truth
The ugly truth
We ignore for our entire life
Till for the last breath we huff

Life-the lie
The beautiful lie
Greedy for every fleeting moment
Even as time slips through our fingers like sand

As dreadful as it may appear
Death is the truth wefear to face
And as lovely as it may appear
Life's the lie we chase-with disgrace

For death alone makes us mortals
And reminds us who we truly are
While life breeds our selfishness
A hunger reaching far too far

Death seems and feels terrifying
Yet its the salvation we secretly crave
Life appears promising
But its the hell we pretend to brave

The reaper- soft and still
Takes the soul like a whisper
But God?....oh God!
Tears us apart slowly, louder than thunder

And so we walk...not towards life
But away from truth
We wear our smiles like masks
Dancing in denial since youth

But in the end, there is no escape
No lie to rewrite
Only the quiet certainty
Of darkness claiming the light
Got idea while teacher taught and i scribbled it down its not perfect i know but that's what we are. We are humans, not perfect robots 😊.
