Captain Bligh, Captain Bligh
Found his niche in a little pork pie
The pig it tasted good
But then he thought he should
Forgo the pig and eat Captain Birdseye.
Captain Bligh, Captain Bligh
Ate Birdseye but then with a short sigh
'The fish is tasted good' (he said)
'But then I think I should" (he said)
"Forego the fish, it makes me want to cry."
Captain Bligh, Captain Bligh
Did not know what the dickens to try
And he was going mental
Until he found a lentil
And that became the apple of his eye.
Captain Bligh, Captain Bligh
Ate his beans from the crease in his tie
He was now vegetarian (we think)
And possibly Aquarian (we think)
But looking down he could not see his thigh.
Captain Bligh, Captain Bligh
Found a mote in the blink of his eye
He realised it was him
And all the world seemed dim
And then he realised he was going to die.
Captain Bligh, Captain Bligh
Freed from earth up to heaven you fly
The moral of this tale (I reckon)
Is only ever drink ale (I reckon)
And never ever sing a lullaby.
