With the strongest winds,
Blowing past me,
And the highest waves,
Trying to sweep me over,
I hold my fort,
And keep sailing,
For I am the captain of my soul.

Many a mountain,
Waiting to be conquered,
The obstacles that it has to offer,
Will slowly be put to rest,
While I strive and struggle on the climb,
Till I eventually emerge a winner,
For I am the captain of my soul.

Come throw all that you have at me,
But one thing is for certain,
You cannot shake my unconquerable soul,
Beyond the place of struggle and quest,
Lies the shadow of myself,
Still unafraid filled with a desire to win,
For I am the captain of my soul.

It matters not how much I am punished,
Or bound by the chain of atrocities,
All I know is I will keep fighting it out,
Thereby keeping my inner turmoils at bay,
Till the universe realises,
That I am the master of my fate,
For I am the captain of my soul.
