when you stabbed me,
my heart bled the rubies you gave me.
I wrote a poem around this line on another website :)

hold on,
she tells herself,
hold on,
to that tiny thread of life,
hold on,
to the facade of a smile,
hold on,
she says,
hold on.

I am gonna fly, crash and burn.
Ernaline Aug 2020
how the waves kiss the seashore despite being sent away each time (unwavering.)

how my mind keeps wandering back to you all the time
(ridiculous.)

the number of times I would give my life for you
(selflessness.)

the distance I would run to get to you
(determined.)

the height I would climb just to get you
(persevering.)

the number of times I woke up crying because I dreamt of you (painful).
just a poem i did on my other writing website :D

Ice burns as much as fire.

My life will be the death of me.

Desperate to keep up with the trends,
Eyes glued to your ******* phone,
Too lazy to meet up with your friends.
And when you do, you're still on your phone.
I've given up on you.

stolen kisses
shiny veneers

splinted mirrors
silver tears

overturned tables
wasted years

tearless sighs
angry sneers

perpetual scars
haunting fears

The flowers you gave,

they’re dead, dried up, and wilted,

just like my heart now.
I posted this on another website--that's like my main writing website :D

hold your head high as you walk through the storms of life.
Ernaline Jul 2020
My mind may forget you, but my soul never will.
Ernaline Jul 2020
Smile as you prance through the raindrops falling down upon you.
Ernaline Jul 2020
I was here for you
in your darkest times.

When you were blind,
I was your eyes.

When you were breathless,
I was your breath.

When you were falling,
I was your wings.

Now, I wonder,
where are you?

I'm down on my knees.
Bound hand.
Bound foot.

But,
You aren't here anymore.
My friends abandoned me. What can I say?
Ernaline Jul 2020
wrap your arms around me, and I'll be your wings.
