Chimes of the mind
Emma May 19
The gentle wind
Chimes the hanging art of music
Hung underneath the porch
Lullabies of earth and peace

The trees dance in a troupe of unison
Greeting all passers as well as farewell
The shore drinks from the ripples in the water
the soil hardly stores
And life synchronizes with the elements

Peace.

Now the fury of the wind
Conducts the percussion into chaos
a cacophony of furious chimes

The tree limbs are clutched
Concealed games of tug of war
Whisk and dismember

The shore drowned
The soil now revokes the sun from the horizon
And life is directed to be hidden from the surface

War

But when the wind chimes fall silent
We wait
For peace to breathe again.
Just as the elements endure so will the mind

— The End —
