Your World
Elliot Bardo Nov 2018
Are you lost?
In that world of yours
Of wishful thinking
Of wearisome chores
Or just tired, and beaten
And a bit off course
A bit too empty
A bit too torn

Your heart is beating
Your mind is coarse
Like salty crystals
Your tears,
No more
But diamonds built
From your thundering heart
Your pressure’s built you
Your little world

Grey
Elliot Bardo Sep 2018
Where I live,
Just a short walk away
A field, at night,
I hide away
And the stars glow
To mark their stay
But tonight, the clouds...

It’s all just grey

622 days
Elliot Bardo Sep 2018
622 days
Or 700
Or 800
Its just another of the dozens of ways
You trap yourself by that thought
Wrap your mind in a knot
Counting days of regret
And wasting away the days you have left

Thanks for the inspiration

A sure thing
Elliot Bardo Sep 2018
Im used to people doing things they regret when they're angry
And hurting and cutting and cursing me maybe
And flirting, and luring
I'm hurting
Please tell me
You're enduring
Please tell me
Its a sure thing

Old gods
Elliot Bardo Aug 2018
"Oh don't look that way dear"
Is all I think
All I can
Her head on her fist
My drink in her hand
A model of emptiness
Aphrodite of absence
A picture of loneliness
And somehow

Above the rest of us

"You should never have to be this...
This monstrosity must end.
You've suffered too...
You've suffered.

And that I can't stand
