Chasing sunsets
With unbound hair and sun-kissed skin,
She chases sunsets, where dreams begin.
Across the fields, a vibrant hue,
Her heart alight, in shades of blue.

Through whispering woods, and valleys deep,
Where secrets of the wild are kept,
She wanders free, a spirit bright,
Embracing nature's gentle light.

The mountains call, a siren's song,
Their rugged peaks, where she belongs.
She climbs and leaps, with joyful grace,
A smile upon her windswept face.

Beside the ocean, wild and free,
She feels the rhythm of the sea.
The crashing waves, a soothing sound,
On nature's stage, her peace is found.

Each falling star, a silent wish,
To chase the sun, with endless bliss.
A soul untamed, forever young,
In nature's arms, her spirit sung.

All in your head
They tell you to never look back,
To be afraid of what you would find,
But maybe they just don’t want you to know,
What you running froms  all in your mind
The length of a passing glance,
A moment of complete chance,
From one breath to the next,
When fingers entwine,
Where planets align,
From one breath to the next,
In the measure of a kiss.
At the core
Of coupled bliss,
From one breath to the next….

Nightmares
My nightmares fill the air
The demons running free
Fingers tugging at my hair
Ruining what I might be
Terrified and yet amazed
Frozen solid in this place
Standing still inside a cage
Yet by nightmares being chased.

Scars are tattoos
Scars are like memories,
and tattoos.
when you fall,
when your heart breaks,
and when your best friend turns their back on you.
it leaves scares that hurt every time you think about it.
it's a memory that will stick
in your head.
it's in the past but it comes back and bites.
it's a tattoo because it's a memory
that hurts,
but doesn't disappear.
It never does.
When you see it so vividly,
you sometimes regret what led you
to the scar that is a memory
that leaves an imprint in
your life's history.

Alone
Inside of your mind and body
A numbing occurs
You feel shallow
So shallow
Like a lowering tide
As if the oceans will dry up
Forcing you and the fish to choke on air

But at least you'll have something in common right ?

Stars & storms
You can't keep Storms
and Stars apart.
They're inseparable,
joined together.

You always have both,
you can't have just one.
Bound together,
sealed forever.

The bond they have
can never break.
With Storms there are Stars,
with Stars there are Storms.

There's always both,
two, not one.
Never alone,
for they have each other.

You can't keep Storms
and Stars apart.
Whatever it takes,
they'll be together.
In quiet nights, our whispers blend,
Across the miles, where dreams ascend.
Your voice, a melody that travels far,
Guiding me home, like a distant star.

The sunrise paints our separate skies,
Yet in my heart, you never say goodbye.
Time zones stretch, like shadows that play,
But love knows no distance, it lights the way.

Through screens we share our laughter and tears,
Counting the moments, counting the years.
A touch in thought, a kiss on the air,
In every heartbeat, you’re always there.

The world may spin and life may pull,
But our bond stands strong, steady and full.
With every sunset, I feel you near,
A love so true, it conquers fear.

So here’s to the days when we’ll finally meet,
To bridges of love that distance can’t beat.
Together we'll stand, hand in hand, side by side,
In a world made for two, where love can't hide.

Call of the wild
The walls close in,
a stifling hold,
A captive heart,
in stories old.
For within these rooms,
a spirit pines,
For open skies,
and whispering pines.

A wanderer's soul,
with restless feet,
Finds solace only,
nature sweet.
The sun-drenched hills,
the ocean's roar,
A vibrant world,
She craves to explore.

The city's hum,
a jarring sound,
Where concrete reigns,
on hallowed ground.
But mountains call,
with beckoning hand,
To roam their slopes,
across the land.

She breathes the air,
so crisp and clean,
A vibrant life,
a joyful scene.
The windswept plains,
the forest deep,
Where secrets lie,
and wonders sleep.

For in the wild,
Her heart takes flight,
A boundless spirit,
bathed in the moonlight.
The open road,
Her guiding star,
A wanderer's soul,
both near and far.

Let walls crumble,
let ceilings fall,
She’ll find her peace,
beyond them all.
In nature's arms,
her spirit free,
A wanderer's joy,
for all to see.

My light
Your words are a flame,
That sets me on fire,
Your touch is a river,
That floods me to
My hearts desire,
And your eyes are the stars that
Bring light to my
Darkest days.

Echoes of the cosmos
The moon is drunk,
And the stars intoxicated,
With the sins of the sun,
And the sadness from the sky,
That shakes and shifts the earth,
And you stare and wonder why,
The universe never loved you back….

Endless after
They say we are born dying.
I say,
If you are going to be alive,
Then watch existences until you bleed
From your eyelids,
See everything drifting about earth.
Do not sleep…..
For death is coming and long lasting.
Sometimes I fear that there is a waking after,
But that’s not how it works,
So if you are going to be alive,
Use the swollen yet open eyes of your fingertips,
While you bend through the ignorance
Of humankind.
If you are going to be alive.
Create something unforgettable before you die.
Let your every breath be lost,
Amongst the infinity,
Galaxies everlasting.
Where only you can hear the pulse,
Of endless after.

Earths melody.
The universe puts her headphones on.
And plays her favorite song.
Of the raindrops in the meadow,
That bursts and soaks the earth.
And with her feet,
Dangling off the earth,
She smiles from ear to ear,
And plays it back.

Homesick
When you’re homesick,
Just go outside,
And close your eyes,
Then look up into the night.
See all the clouds in the same blue sky?
It feels like home doesn’t it?
Cause in the end
We are both under
The same blue sky.
The moon and
starry night.
As winter's chill begins to bite,
The sun sets early,
a fiery sight.
A blaze of orange,
pink,
and gold,
Across the horizon,
stories untold.

I pack the car,
and hit the road,
Chasing sunsets,
hearts made whole.
Through snowy landscapes,
i drive with glee,
In search of vistas,
wild and free.

The sky is painted,
a masterpiece high,
As day succumbs to the twilight sky.
I find a spot,
where the view is grand,
And watch as sunset takes its final stand.

The colors deepen,
rich and bold,
A symphony of hues,
young and old.
Soft pinks and blushing peaches too,
Dance across the sky,
in shades anew.

As I breathe the crisp air,
scented with pine,
As sunset's magic makes my spirit shine.
In this fleeting moment,
I am free,
My worries lost,
in wild ecstasy.

So let me chase the winter sunsets bright,
And bask in their warm,
golden light.
For in these moments,
i find my peace,
And the world's beauty,
my soul release.

The stars appear,
one by one,
As night descends,
the day is done.
I linger still,
in this peaceful place,
Where sunset's magic left its gentle trace.

Then back to the car,
i reluctantly go,
My hearts still aglow,
with sunset's show.
The memory stays,
a treasured delight,
A winter sunset road trip,
pure joy in sight.

Lost In The Haze
A silent scream echoes through my mind
A desperate cry, forever left behind
A world outside that's full of pretend
Where fake smiles and laughter never end

I'm lost in a sea of superficial faces
A stranger in a world of empty places
I search for a lifeline, a beacon of truth
But it's hard to find, in a world of youth

I feel like I'm drowning, suffocating slow
A weight on my chest, that I just can't let go
Every step I take, feels like a mistake
Every word I say, a wrong path to make

I'm trapped in a cycle, of self-doubt and fear
A never-ending loop, that brings me to tears
I try to break free, but it's hard to resist
The voices that whisper, "you're not good enough, you'll never persist"

In a world that's obsessed, with perfection and fame
I'm just a small voice, that's screaming in vain
I yearn for authenticity, for real hearts and minds
But it's hard to find, in a world that's left behind

So I'll keep on screaming, inside my head
A silent cry, that only I can hear instead
And maybe someday, someone will hear my plea
And guide me through, this wilderness of humanity.

Eyes of the stars
Shape the stars with your eyes,
Mold the moon with your smile,
Hold earth in the palm of your hands,
And see time pass you
in your dreams until
Earth descends.
She was once a girl,
with a story untold
A narrative of pain,
that was written in cold
The pages were filled,
with the weight of her past
A burden she carried,
that seemed to forever last

But she's rewriting the script,
with a pen that's bold
Creating a new narrative,
where she's in control
She's turning the page,
on the chapters that hurt
And writing a new story,
where love and joy converge

Like a phoenix from ashes,
she's rising anew
From the flames of her past,
a brighter spirit breaks through
Her wings are unfolding,
as she takes to the sky
A symbol of strength,
as she says goodbye

To the relationships that broke her,
they no longer define
The woman she's becoming,
with a heart that's aligned
She's learning to let go,
of the people who caused pain
And embracing the ones,
who bring love and sustain

Her inner child is healing,
with a gentle hand
A loving guide,
that helps her understand
That she's not alone,
and that she's worthy of love
A deserving soul,
sent from above

She's breaking free from the chains,
that bound her tight
Unshackling her spirit,
and letting her light shine bright
She's finding her voice,
and using it to speak
A powerful woman,
who's no longer meek

Her journey is one,
of transformation and growth
A path that winds and turns,
but always leads to truth
She's discovering her strength,
and all that she can do
A resilient soul,
who's rising anew

Her story is being rewritten,
with each passing day
A new chapter unfolding,
in a brighter way
She's becoming the woman,
she was meant to be
A beautiful soul,
wild and carefree.
We are all silhouettes,
Wrapped in the tapestry,
Of a blooming night,
Outlines etched messily,
Into a cotton wool sky,
Beautifully imperfect,
A story wisp illuminates,
Sings sweet like our
Honey bees laugh,
We smile always,
Endlessly sunshine yellow,
For now we are together,
Wild like dandelions,
Rebelling against being
a common flower,
We paint the word adventure,
In black paint,
Send it to outer space,
In a paper airplane,
They dance on crazily,
Like the night is infinity,
Dreaming for a forever,
In a place called eternity.

Hold on
Across the miles, my heart beats for you,
A lonely rhythm, that echoes true,
In the silence of night, I feel your absence deep,
A hollow ache, that only your presence can keep.

Sleep eludes me, as I lay alone,
The bed feels vast, without your warmth to call home,
I toss and turn, with restless sighs,
Longing for the comfort of your loving eyes.

But even in the darkness, hope shines bright,
For soon we'll bridge the distance, and make it right,
We'll wake up together, in a shared morning light,
And never again, will we have to say goodnight.

Until then, we'll chase the miles away,
With plane rides and road trips, we'll seize the day,
Eight hours of driving, or a flight across the sky,
Will be worth it all, just to see you smile and sigh.

Those stolen moments, we'll cherish and hold tight,
Making memories, that will last through the night,
Laughter and whispers, in a crowded place,
Stolen glances, that speak a thousand words of love and space.

Our love is strong, it knows no bounds,
It leaps across the distance, with a gentle sound,
It whispers sweet nothings, in my ear at night,
" Hold on, my love, we'll make it through this fight."

So I'll hold on tight, to the thought of you,
And know that soon, our hearts will beat anew,
Together under one roof, we'll live and grow,
And never again, will we have to let go.

Until that day, I'll dream of you at night,
And wake up with a smile, knowing it's almost in sight,
The miles will fade away, like a disappearing haze,
And our love will shine brighter, in a brand a new phase.
Infinity is somewhere in the milky way,
The way it swirls between stars,
And promises to keep moving,
Without rhythm,
Never stopping,
Always pulsing.
On and on and on.
A kiss that lasts forever,
And we are fragile,
Like the earth we live on,
Pleading with our life giving sun,
That promises just one more day,
On everyday
to keep burning,
Always blazing,
Fiery passion.
On and on and on.
Until the day
It stops.
These walls,
they whisper secrets to me
Of a past that I'd rather not see
Memories of pain,
of fear and shame
Echoes that linger,
like a lingering flame

Every room,
a reminder of what's been
A prison where my heart was locked within
The shadows on the wall,
they seem to move
As if the ghosts of my past still improve

I try to escape,
but there's no way out
Trapped in this house,
with memories that shout
I'm haunted by the laughter,
the tears,
the screams
The silence is deafening,
it's all just a bad dream

The creaks and groans of the floorboards at night
Sound like the footsteps of my tormentor's delight
The wind outside whispers cruel things in my ear
Reminding me of the pain that I've tried to clear

I feel like I'm drowning in this sea of pain
Unable to escape,
unable to break the chain
That binds me to this house,
to these memories so dark
A prisoner of my past,
forever left to embark

But the abuse has stopped,
the trauma has ceased
So why do I still feel trapped,
still feel diseased?
Why can't I shake the feeling that I'm still confined?
That these walls are closing in,
suffocating my mind?

It's because the memories remain,
long after the pain
Haunting me,
taunting me,
driving me insane
They linger in every corner,
every crevice and crack
A constant reminder of what I've been through,
what I've lacked

I wish I could erase it all,
start anew
But these walls hold secrets,
and memories that are true
I'm stuck in this house,
with these ghosts of my past
Forever trapped,
forever haunted,
forever aghast.

How to write a poem
A friend asked me how to write a poem.
I wanted to say,
Lock yourself in a room.
Scream until you have a poem and no voice.
Open your veins and bleed until,
Your bones are pure words and sorrow.
Act as if you slit your own throat.
And all you can do is bleed.
And all your regrets,
And all the darkness,
That you boxed up for inspirations.
Write your mom a letter,
Tell her your leaving,
In your room,
Locked in your deepest thoughts,
Writing nothing but poems and won’t be back for a while.
Because being a poet,
Is traveling through all seven layers of hell.
And denying anything is wrong,
Forget loving yourself.
When all you have is a pen and paper fused to your wrist.
And Lucifer is tapping at your skull saying,
β€œDont turn back β€œ
Warn the neighbors,
That if they smell burning,
It’s  just your soul clawing at your front door,
Trying to get in,
Learn how to be alone,
Learn how to lose everything you have in order to feel release.
Learn how to feel deceased for now on.

A friend asked me how to write a poem…..
All I said was don’t.
I stand with feet bare,
toes curled deep
In emerald grass,
where ancient secrets sleep
The earth beneath me whispers low and sweet
Echoes of eons past,
in mystic repeat

The thunderstorm awakens,
wild and free
A primal cry that shakes the tree
Electric drums beat out a savage rhyme
As heaven's fury pours,
and rain lashes in time

The wind stirs,
rustling leaves in gentle hue
A soothing melody,
both old and new
Through branches swaying,
it whispers my name
As I breathe in the scent of wet earth's claim

My toes drink in the dew,
and feel the ground
A pulsing heartbeat,
where life is found
In every blade of grass,
a story's told
Of seasons come and gone,
of life unfold

I listen close,
as earth's echoes resound
A symphony of life,
in all its forms unbound
The thunderstorm's fierce cry,
the wind's soft sigh
In harmony they blend,
as I touch the sky

With feet on earth,
and soul set free
I am one with nature's wild ecstasy.

Sleepless nights
My bed, a battleground at night
Where shadows dance and demons take flight
The past awakens, a haunting refrain
Echoes of memories that bring only pain

I try to sleep, but my mind won't cease
Racing thoughts, a never-ending tease
The clock ticks on, a steady beat
As I lie awake, my heart skips a repeat

Nightmares creep in, like thieves in the dark
Stealing peace, leaving only a spark
Of fear and anxiety, a lingering dread
That clings to me, like a shroud on my bed

Memories of what's past, they still remain
Haunting me, like a ghostly strain
I try to shake them, but they won't depart
Leaving me wakeful, with a heavy heart

The night wears on, a slow and painful crawl
As I toss and turn, with no escape at all
From the horrors that haunt me still
A prisoner of my past, against my will

Dawn breaks slowly, a welcome reprieve
But even daylight can't banish the grief
That lingers within, a constant ache
A reminder of the nightmares that I've made

So I'll face another day, weary and worn
Hoping that tonight will bring a peaceful morn
But until then, I'll hold on tight
And pray that someday, I'll find a peaceful night.

Midnight blue
In twilight's hush,
where shadows play,
A midnight blue descends,
to seal the day.
The stars,
like diamonds scattered wide,
Twinkle and sparkle,
with a gentle,
celestial pride.
Fireflies dance in the breezy air,
Their lights flickering,
like tiny lanterns there.
Crickets chant their evening hymns,
As the owl watches over,
with wise,
knowing brims.
The leaves rustle softly,
in the trees above,
Lost in the melody of their own,
sweet love.
Wolves howl at the end of the shore,
With a haunting longing,
for something more.
The world is asleep,
but magic's alive,
In this enchanted realm,
where dreams thrive.
Fantasy and wonder,
charm and might,
Unite in this midnight blue,
where love takes flight.
Fairies smile in secret pride,
As restless souls find peace,
and hearts reside.
The breeze whispers secrets,
as orchids sway,
Adding a touch of blue,
to this enchanted day.
The Moon strolls through the heavens,
with gentle ease,
Admiring the beauty,
of this peaceful release.
The knight of midnight watches over all,
Guiding those who seek wonder,
through this enchanted hall.
Silence reminds us,
that dawn will soon arrive,
And playtime must end,
with a bow and adieu to the night's jive.
As the owl takes flight,
through the midnight blue,
We bid farewell to magic,
until dreams come anew.
I'm not the kind of woman who locks her heart away in a delicate cage. Mine beats fiercely, exposed, unbridled raw and reckless , either worn proudly on my sleeve, held tenderly in my hands, or surrendered completely to the unknown.

Second chance
In a house of love,
where kindness grew,
A little girl,
with the purest eyes,
Not from her own,
but hearts so kind,
Grandparents' arms,
a haven to find.

For parents lost,
in shadows deep,
To troubled paths,
where darkness sleeps.
Addiction's grip,
a cruel embrace,
Left a child adrift,
without a trace.

But loving hands,
reached out to claim,
A precious life,
a whispered name.
Grandparents' love,
a guiding light,
Filled days with joy,
and banished night.

They taught her strength,
and showed her grace,
To find her worth,
in time and space.
Their gentle touch,
their tender care,
Erased the hurt,
beyond compare.

Though shadows linger,
from days gone by,
Their love's a shield,
beneath the sky.
A grateful heart,
a spirit free,
For grandparents' love,
eternally.
