I wonder if ever people feel my absence.
Searching for my face,
Tracing my unique traits.



I’m not the biggest one in the room.
Neither physically nor spiritually.
But is my absence felt?



During a meeting with a few friends.
In certain classes where I raise my hands.
Was my absence ever felt?

The amount of love that I had
Turned into the resentment I now bear.



The resentment I feel for people
Are for the ones I truly cared about.
If I resent you,I guess
It means I still care,somewhere deep.



If I never had expectations,
I would’ve never resented anyone.
But without expectations,
I wouldn’t have loved at all.

How should I define myself
By religion,occupation,hobbies?
None of them can capture what I am.


I am held by the depth of the world,
But consumed by its shallow waters.


I’m a soul in motion,
Seeking its place in the world,
While trying many things.


There’s not a single definition
That can define me or anyone.

A place where everything
Is close and yet so far.


Walking down stairs to the tube,
But going up on the escalator that
Brings you into the beautiful streets.


Wandering through them,
With the worry of getting stabbed,
But without the worry of getting judged.


Here everyone gather
Around the local pub.
Drink a beer with a peer,
While you spill your tea.
