Dreams
Selina Manaka May 2019
Like the Voo-doo music works
You caught me with your smile
Like the sight of sore eyes
You fascinated me with your eyes
And like never before
My heart pounded hard

I would gaze at the movement of your eyes
As they blink to the sound of my heart
And as always I would be amazed
About how your voice is to my ears

Yet all that would be vivid
When my mind lures me into reality
And tears would flow down my chin
Like the bleak pain in my heart

Yet there it appears
"HOPE" that one day
I'll be your joy and you'll be my smile
Yet for now I just DREAM

#CLASS OF GENIUS
Selina Manaka Jun 2020
We gave birth to Einstein
E=mc² was the formula
We sat down at the spinal cord
Of a milky way to create
We were breathing Star dust
And had cosmic fireworks as our blood
Gravity taught us to sink our feet into the dense sand of Earth
And watch the moon orbiting around us
At once we held it with our bare hands and taught it to wait for the sun in total eclipse
We are the Myans
We gave the sky names as we watched Orion the hunter chasing planets
And the southern Cross giving him directions
We were the Ancient Egyptians
We calculated the earth's spin on its exis
And foretold the future that is now
We were the builders of Noah's ark
And taught the world everything it knows
We dropped the apple that Eve ate at the garden of eden
And the one that fell on Sir Isaac Newton's face
We are the ones Ancient Philosophers spoke off
Our arrival has been awaited

We are the class of physics
