Walls
Heavenly white,
Serene silence
Interrupted only by
Incessant beeping,
Rattling lungs
In a body,
Not as old
As should be,
Ears filled
With the beeping tune,
Tethered to life,
An annoying assurance,
Ropes unbind,
Blood runs cold
As the tune fades away,
Unmelodious melody,
Air escapes swiftly
As the last note plays.

My mind enjoys
Savoring silence,
Where the world
Cannot take part,
Words,
A weapon,
Savagely shattering
This tune
Without a start.

Healing takes time,
And fissures run deep,
I only wish
To cure
This flawed perfection,
In time to
Greet my sleep.

Where once my dreams
Were filled with stars,
A need
Surpassing desire,
But as you set
Your gaze upon me,
I found
No need for them
At all.

My mind sometimes
Plays tricks on me,
Where every gaping void
Is filled
With dread and anxiety,
As does escape
My heart,
With free falling velocity,
Fleeing
Before it is made to fill
This unfillable fee.

Would you allow me
To stand in your light
For just a moment,
Allow me,
Kindly,
To breathe in,
For even a second
Could unravel my knots,
A second
To untangle these strings.

Would you allow me to
To bathe in your rays
For just a moment,
Permit me,
Kindly,
To soak in,
For even infinity
Could not compete,
With a second,
Just the one,
My heart spent
In your eternity.

Happiness unforgivable,
Laughter unseen,
Dare not!
To crack a single smile,
Darkness,
Take heed!
Embodiment
Of anger and despise,
These monsters,
And their flaming steed.

Fear,
Their favorite meal,
Full to the brim,
Barely satiated,
Despair,
A bonus treat,
Wielding a ferocious weapon,
Cracking,
With an unwavering scream.

Screams,
That seep in,
Screams,
That never leave,
Screams,
That break and eat and ****,
Devouring,
Whatever means
