Moon Deer
Tiari May 2021
Stand tall, Moon Deer
for the forest will follow

Every jaguar
Every tiger
Every bobcat
Every second

Pause there
For the light remains in your face
Unless you flee

...

It's what the world wants from you

To flee
and to never show your face again
for it surely will be bad

But the moon shall guide you

Follow it
and instead of pity
you find glee

You have befriended those lights
once your enemy
but now your friend

Do not break this band, little moon deer
For I believe you deserve it
The moral of this poem defines what a true leader is: if you show courage and follow your heart, you'll gain followers

Alley Cat
Tiari May 2021
Though it's our trash
It's your buffet
It's much easier
than catching your prey

The mice scurry around
and you look away
It doesn't matter to you
You can catch them any day

The city pigeons fly high above
While you lay on the stone ground
It seems that you've lost your love
C'mon, let's go to the pound

What?
What do you mean?
You don't want to go?

Alright little cat
No means no

And with that, you scurry into the darkness
never to be seen again, much like the lochness
The moral of the poem is to find hope even during your lowest times
