Daddy’s Little Girl
Caylee Irving Mar 2018
Holding her in his arms
So tight, as if she would fall from his hands.
She didn’t know it yet,
But she was daddy's little girl.

Learning to tie her shoes,
And all the sneaking of Santa
Teacher her which hills,
Were the best for sledding.
This is all because
She was Daddy’s little girl.

Driving for the first time,
He trusted her as she drove.
The fights they get into
She had just came home too late.
But he cared,
Because it was his little girl.

Walking her down the aisle,
Beautiful gown of white.
Tears threaten to come out of both of their eyes
Because he didn’t want to let go
And she had a moment of fear that he would
Let go.
But they hugged, and all was well
Because they both know that
She was daddy’s little girl.
