Hands ♥️
Upon leaving  O’Hare Field
Sunlight peeked through gray and white clouds
Glistening diamonds on the cold December snow
The silver wings would soon take me home
As we took flight
My thoughts meshed with Chicago and you.
I remembered your sparkling blue eyes
Your smile, quick and easy ...
But what I can’t forget are your hands!
Hands that work with iron
Strong and calloused
Yet they touch my cheek as gentle as a feather
Always I remember
The softness in the roughness of your hands ❤️

Memory Cup
Cate Nov 2020
It sets there in my office window
All alone and empty, like me
It’s just a simple coke cup
but it has the lip prints
Of you and me
I can’t toss it,
Silly silly me!
