Soulmates
jaden Apr 2021
We are born in this world not knowing who we are, where we came from, or what we'll come to be.
We do however, have the innate desire something that was once lost, but sure to be found.
This is our soulmate, our twin flame.
Without them we feel alone, barren, dazed, yet we know not of who or where they may be.
In our search for the one, we fall, we let ourselves become consumed by the business of life. While some may find their love to be, many stay lost having lived a life loud and fast but regretting the day they forgot. Others become broken, beaten down by false hopes, unfulfilled desires, and empty promises, they give up their search. Convinced they may never find their true love. One must never lose hope, when a bone breaks it heals stronger than before, a wilted rose still smells as sweet, we must never lose ourselves in the maze that is life, because somewhere out there our soulmate is still looking for us

to those without love
jaden Sep 2020
To those without love,
Lonely souls endlessly searching for their twin flame, only to lay their heads at night knowing they are not with them. Wanting for night to fall so they may be with their soulmate, even if it is only in their dreams.
Their heart aching for a fantasy that has yet to be,and may never come to be. But one becomes so enthralled in the search for love that they forget to love themselves.
To know love you must emody it, you must first love yourself before you can love another. Only then will they come to you not as a knight in shining armor, but an addition to the castle you have built to yourself.
If you are not loved it is because you give it freely to others not saving a piece to your own heart.
In time love will come, but not until you bring it to you first.
So to those without love

Stay strong, because love is you.

you?
jaden Aug 2020
If you were to stop and think,
Pausing from the monotony of life to really ponder.
Why do you live, not how, but what is the sole purpose of your existence.
What drives you to keep living the same routine, day in and day out.
Your thoughts are within your mind, yet they are not your own.

You do not own them, just as a dog heels to its master, your thoughts appear.
You do not make an idea, it comes to you. So who are you really, are you a vessel whose soul purpose is to act as a catalyst to another consciousness?
What is the being that is you? It is your mind yet its thoughts are of another.
If you are you and your thoughts are not, who gives you thought?

If you were to stop and think,
Are you really you?

You, Hiraeth
jaden Aug 2020
Your face,
Such a spectacle, the angels of heaven could not possibly compare to that of your smile. My heart melts with the heat of a million suns every time our eyes meet.

Your laugh,
That of a newborns first, striking the very soul and intoxicating my very being. My dying wish would only be to hear it once more.

Your body,
A sight to challenge aphrodite herself, one look at you and I am enthralled in an ocean of unquenchable lust. So powerful it must be a sin. A feeling of utter bliss the second we touch.

Your eyes,
Oh how your eyes capture me, a mere glance and I am lost in a sea of love deeper than the lowest canyons, and more vast than the universe itself. I may be lost, but in your eyes I wish to never be found.

Your voice,
Like the finest silver even a king would be unfit to wear. A symphony of morning birds singing a tune as old as time itself. I would give my sight in an instant so that I may hear your voice.

Your hair,
Spun silk made by the greatest of weavers, each fiber glowing vibrantly with the light of a goddess. Flowing in the wind like the branches of a willow tree.

And you,
God's greatest creation, and the Devils most beautiful deception. I could never wish for anything more perfect.

Such a shame that I've only met you in my dreams.

the mask we wear
jaden Aug 2020
happiness, this is the mask we wear, it is this mask that we will forever show to others. It is not because we want to lie, it is because deep down we do not derive happiness from ourselves, but in the smiles of others. The happiness we bring others is the ultimate distraction, a temporary escape out of the cold and painful prison we so desperately wish to be free from.

you may say it is pointless, or even stupid. until that one smile from the only one you care for is the last thing keeping you on this earth, you will never understand. so 'til the day we leave this world, we will keep wearing our masks. we will continue to put forth this facade, for it is the closest thing to achieving true happiness

Sadness is a peculiar thing.
It can be likened to that of a blackberry bush. whilst most see it as nothing but a **** ruining their garden, the afflicted see the sickly sweet truth of it. Sadness reveals your innermost desires and presents them in the form of something you can never hope to attain.
Just like the berries of the bush, to get to the truth you must endure the pain of a thousand thorns. Sadness however teaches us strength through pain, most would never brave the stinging of needles to get to the fruit that is truth. Any sane man would give up, and break down at the slightest ***** of a finger.
Yet the sorrowed would gladly take the pain once more to recieve even the sweetest and blackest of berries. All once more, because in the end those that were broken have nothing left to break.
Sadness is strength in a forest of blackberries. - jaden cardenas
