"Slowly Charging!"
"Slowly Charging!"
My phone warns me
As I plug it
Into its life source.

"Slowly Charging!"
These words familiar
As I connect
With my device.

"Slowly Charging!"
That describes me now,
Awaking in the sunlight,
But still in a daze.

"Slowly Charging!"
Our bodies, as we age,
Unable to recharge
Like when we were young

"Slowly Charging!"
But I still work fine.
By midday,
I've made it!

By midday,
My body is working great!
Processing speeds are normal.
I am fully awake!

Early evening,
My charge is leaving fast!
I made it through the day again.
I am home at last.

My charge is almost gone.
My energy has faded.
Time to plug in once again
For a new day awaits me.

"Slowly Charging . . ."
I was inspired to write this when my phone needed to be charged at the end of the day. When I plugged it in, up came the same message that's been coming up for the past 2 weeks: "Charging Slowly!" Right then and there, I got out my paper and pen and wrote this down.

— The End —
