Contradiction Addiction
Barbara Dudley Sep 2023
It was blatant, yet subtle enough to be overlooked. A contradiction of its own kind. Blinding, I should say, but also enlightening. Leaving it's trademark within my soul. Did you just kiss me from all the way over there? That's too far, come closer. BACK UP OFF ME!
CONTRADICT! You were there weren't you? Within the space- time continuum, within my world, outside of me. I don’t know you, but I loved you since the beginning of time. A contradiction of my heart. Above me, yet beneath me. You own that, you own it...yet It belongs to me. A contradiction within and without my soul.
It's closed, but still open...she has that in her hands, but she ain't holding nothin'! He thinks he's wide awake, but that woman knows he's sound asleep..like a baby, he's asleep, sleeping without dreams. SILLY RABBIT. Don't trick me. Contradicts, clutters, contracts, confused... just go away, stay, no, come here, let me go, hold me tight. But if you let go l'Il fall. Will you catch me?I can walk on my own. You think you’re slick.
CONTRADICT! Birthed it, binded it...the tie that binds is untied. Tie your shoe then. Oh, you never learned to tie. Loose ends are for babies. I'M NOT YOUR ******* BABY! Girls don't cry…except on the pillow.
Tell me a lie so I can feel safe, it's false but true...to me. You love me, don't you? So why do you hate me so much? Not created, not destroyed. Whisper and shout. TAKE YOUR ******* HANDS OFF ME! you crazy? I'm here, I'm existing. STOP LOOKING AT ME! Nobody sees me. You saw me, but you looked too quick, now you don't see me. Standing tall, yet hidden. It's faded away.. I'm in the darkness, yet I have light within me.
I'II remember because it must all be forgotten.
