Winter is here
but there's no one
warm to hold
Long solstice night
All alone I embrace
the December cold

My idle mind
looks behind
fails to find
wasted time

Day and night
I feel so alone
good things in life
where have you gone?

Take pride in the reason
That makes you a good person
Because the world
has lost its way.

If you've lived through all the seasons
And yet you remain as bright as the sun
Then you're the one
this world needs today.

A blue dot in space
is this abode of man
Always at the mercy of
the clock's ticking hand
Life seems a short gift
to live as long as you can

Walk along, behind or ahead of some
Many walks behind,many to come
Waiting for the rainbow paved road
That will lead to a *** of gold
Over the edge, across divides
To undiscovered countrysides
Trailblazing through highs and lows
Valleys of mist and shadows
Go where winds of change blow
hopefull of better tomorrow's
Friends made on this rainbow road
What I learn is my *** of gold.
