Oh Beatrice
Rohan Apr 9
You walked with him through the
arcades of the heaven
through the unending gardens of the paradise
Didn't you perceive Dante was so
flushed and shaken
whence with all the love he
looked into your eyes

Oh Beatrice! Dante loved you so, wouldn't you want to know
that for you he wrote a
million lover's lines
Dante loved you so, wouldn't
you want to know
that for you he built
a splendid paradise

I hope, you noticed O Bice, in the roses
he looked for your grace, he looked
for you in the moon and in the stars,
in the sun of morn he looked for your face
And so it was very rough
On earth it was not enough
He built a bridge of million lines
And sought you in his paradise

Oh Beatrice! Dante loved you so
wouldn't you want to know
that for you he wrote a
million lover's lines
Dante loved you so
wouldn't you want to know
that for you he built
a splendid paradise

My love, you noticed O Bice
lives from me half a world away
I look for her in the moon and
in the stars
in the sun of morn I look for her face
And so it is very rough
On earth it is not enough
I'll build a bridge of million lines
And make on earth a paradise

Oh Beatrice! Dante loved you so
wouldn't you want to know
that for you he wrote
a million lover's lines
Dante loved you so,
wouldn't you want to know
that for you he built
a splendid paradise
I wrote this poem just for fun.

The Charioteer
Rohan Mar 27
The day I decided to take the reins
Of my horses in my hands
Was the day I beheld a new dawn
The day I decided to take the reins
Of my horses in my hands
Was the day I breathed new air
It crashed before on concrete rocks
And smashed itself in waves
It broke and burst and bore the load
Of unknown unfriendly hands
My horses knew not the way
They trampled every blossom
Their hooves felt bitter taste
Of their blood on needle thorns
And yet through sorrow and pain
They galloped through scorching sands
Aimless ambitionless wearied and torn
With unknown unfriendly hands.
Several were they, too many to count
Like black Spirits in the dark
They knew not where they led me
Yet they all were all around.
I fell from the chariot a few times
Hurt and ***** in the soil
And there I saw my own faces
Many they were, of many colors
One to please, one to mock, one to love, one to toil, one to love and one to hate, one to sing my own new song and one to falsely sing and one to falsely dance
And yet I thought I had one face, one color on my skin
What land have I been moving on
Quagmires and false terrains
What roads have I been treading on
What roads I tread within .
The faces have vanished and the hands are gone
Of the ones who took the reins
My horses are mine and the reins are mine
I need not unfriendly hands
I breathe new breeze and and feel new air
I see the golden Dawn

The Love of Artemis
Rohan Apr 3
As she lay 'neath the pine
And by the boulder's shade
And the jaded bow by her side
And by her Hunter's blade
She heard a roar on far a Mount
That jeered the mighty Lords
A roar in which pride abound
And bitter as the swords
'Twas the roar of Orion
The hunter of the east
As proud as a majestic Lion
Who vowed to slay all beasts
"I'm the mightiest slayer
no beast can survive
None world can e'er bear
a slayer mightier than I
Or a beast of harder bone
that my club cannot crack
Or an armour wisely honed
to withstand my skillful knack "
Her face flushed like rose
As she gazed upon his form
Her moonlit figure quivered
As his torso shone like bronze
Her heart bloomed with tender love
For Orion she was moved
And loved him deeply inside now
Despite his uncouth.
A ravaging fury befell on earth
As Scorpius arose from a cloud of heath
Like a fire bursting from a hearth
Of a furnace burning 'neath
And a battle begun witnessed by Gods
That shook Earth and Horizon
As steel talons of the Scorpius
Met the club of Orion
There was crashing and pounding
In void of oak and pine and ferns
There was not a shriek and sounding
Of the beasts in caverns.
As Orion gust into the claws
And the Iron armour broke
Clubbed Scorpius into the jaws
As with all his might he stroke.
She heeded the duel from behind
A distant rock in ferns
Caught the eye of Orion's mind
Diverted to discern
And Scorpius plunged into the chest
Of Orion, his venomous blade
That stole Orion's very breath
And lifeless there he lay .
She held him in her *****
For her lost love she grieved
Though her love could ne'er blossom
Yet divine 'twas in brief
The denouement of Orion's o'er pride
And HER love, is scripted in heaven's dome
As an epoch in the darkest night
In paradigm of undiminished love
